Thomas Thomas Jenkins's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Jenkins is rude and inconsiderate every time I talk to him. He didn’t listen to what I said and quite literally walked out of the room mid conversation. The first time he was rude, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but it has been twice and I absolutely will not be back.

If you value knowledgeable doctors who stay current with the latest medical updates, who know as much as any pharmacists about medications and their interactions, you cannot do better than Dr Jenkins. If you value handholding and a warm fuzzy bedside manner you could be disappointed. Having said the only fault I can think of, Dr Jenkins is a phenomenal physician. I was highly involved in my parents’ medical care for many years and have never hesitated to change a medical provider if there was any doubt about his or her capabilities. I know that Dr Jenkins kept my dad alive years longer than expectations. Plus, my dad was not an easy patient coupled with a strong tendency to not follow doctor’s orders. Upon the start of an office visit, Dr Jenkins reviews the patient’s medical file very throughly and will then ask the pertinent questions. His questions are always on point. Upon completion he tells in you very concise terms what is going on and what needs to done. He can be blunt in his delivery but without the flowery words, your understanding is quite clear. This delivery made my father much more compliant in following his advice. Dr Jenkins served my dad exemplary as his primary care physician. He consistently reviewed any new hospital notes and those from specialists to ensure all new medications prescribed or treatment with aligned with his multiple diagnoses. His nurses were the absolute best too. My family and I will always remain so thankful to Dr Jenkins and his staff.

He never really listened to me. When I told him I was no longer on birth control (per MY choice) he laughed and said my anxiety would be worse if I get pregnant. Extremely disrespectful.

I've never had signs of asthma. I was recovering from a sickness and I told him I run, exercise, etc. He diagnosed me with asthma. I spent $60 on an inhaler, was deeply upset, and had to pay a co pay. The inhaler of course DID NOT work. He insisted that it was asthma even though I explained everything and basically would not listen to me. I went to another doctor after the inhaler did not work and she said I had an upper respiratory infection and gave me medicine which I needed WAY earlier. Also while talking to him I told him I didn't drink milk but used soy and I didn't eat meat. He told me I needed to and should start. Overall, my experience was very poor. He was exactly like the other one star reviews on here say and I am only writing this review because their office still calls me daily having missed my asthma checkup.

He is a terrible doctor. My husband has COPD and when he was there dr Jenkins chuckled out loud saying my husband won’t be around long. to not worry about getting pneumonia vaccine.

Gave him a try despite the low reviews. Let's just say that I'm thankful that I found a new Dr. that actually takes the time to listen.

I have read the reviews of Dr. Jenkins and my personal opinion is these folks are entitled to their opinions as am I... My husband is one of Dr. Jenkins patients and I can only thank God for him. As a new patient, Dr. Jenkins took the initiative to consult with my husband's cardiologist and his other doctors and they came to the conclusion that at least one of his prescribed meds was actually working against his body so they made changes there. Recently we had a mishap with his meds that could have been fatal. I called Dr. Jenkins at nearly midnight and he promptly called me back and told me what to do. Thankfully he made it through the night and Dr. Jenkins' office called to check on him and make sure he was ok early the next morning. I do like the fact he is all about patient care and not sales reps and what not. If you're looking for a doctor who will coddle you, give you free samples and lie to you, he is not for you. If you're looking for a doctor who will be honest with you and tell it to you straight, he's a great choice.

My husband is Dr. Jenkins' patient and he has been proactive in helping to ensure his care is consistent and cohesive with his other doctors without having to be asked. His is a tell it straight kind of doctor so if you are looking to be coddled, you should probably find another physician. My husband has lost faith in so many doctors that he figured he would just be another on his list to avoid. He's far from being on that list. If I have any medical issues come up, I won't hesitate to see Dr. Jenkins. He has proven himself to our family several times in less than a year.
