I have been a patient of Dr Kotla's since 2019. The care I received from him and his staff made me feel as if I was a part of their family. He worked hand in hand with my radiation specialist in order for my Chemo and Radiation to go as smooth as it possibly could. I could not have asked for better care and treatment. Today was my final appt with him as he is leaving the Cancer Center at Cookeville Regional Hospital.

Met Dr. Kotla after transferring our care from Vanderbilt to Cookeville due to the difficulties of traveling back and forth. I was amazed at how prepared he was about my case and even prior to my arrival he proactively discussed my case with my physician at Vanderbilt. He was really good at explaining my medical condition in a very simple language, used lots of analogies, and prepared me for the road ahead. His bedside manner was impeccable and at all times he was respectful of my opinions and concerns,

Wanted to do radiation on lungs and brain with test based on CT scan. Could not answer general questions. Could not explain condition or outcome for pt. When ask something he didn’t want to answer he walked out of the room.

Dr. Kotla is very through and eminently qualified. His diagnoses may not always be positive but his opinions are very reliable. Every stone will be turned in finding a problem. Patients giving poor ratings must be delusional or smoking plastic bags. This doctor deserves nothing less than excellent ratings. Jm

Extremely pushy with chemo to cancer free patients. Personally called my house and got upset and pushy and raised his voice when I told him I was going to take some time and research treatment options open to me since he wasnt offering anything other then a nasty out dated chemo. He raised his voice and told me I wouldnt have two months to live if I didnt take his treatments. All he is concerned with is making money. Avoid him.
