Dr. Simms, I discovered I had covid on Friday July 1,2022 by taking a home test. I called your office at 3:45pm, but you had already left for the day. I then contacted the hospital to see who was on call, and it was you. I explained to you that I tested positive and requested Ivermectin. You immediately said, “no.” When I questioned why you would not give me this medication, you stated, “That’s not how I run my office, and there isn’t data to support this medication.” On April 27, 2022 our governor signed SB2188 that allows Ivermectin, an award-winning antiviral drug, to be available for treatment of covid-19. You then went on to explain that there were two medications available (that you were willing to prescribe); however, one of these you could not give me because it required a kidney function test. I received a prescription for Lagevrio, a medication that is available due to the Emergency Use Autorization (EUA). In the five-page fact sheet that I received with this medication it states: “You are being given this fact sheet because your healthcare provider believes it necessary to provide you with Lagevrio for the treatment of adults with mild-to-moderate conoravirus disease 2019 (covid 19) with positive results of direct SARS-CoV-2 viral testing, and who are at high risk for progression to severe covid-19 including hospitalization or death, and now accessible or clinically appropriate.” The fact sheet also states possible side-effects, followed with this paragraph: “These are not all the possible side effects of Lagevrio. Not many people have taken Lagevrio. Serious and unexpected side effects may happen. This medicine is still being studied, so it is possible that all of the risks are not known at this time.” You stated there wasn’t enough data to support you giving me the Ivermectin, a drug that has been around for thirty years, yet you didn’t mind giving me a prescription that hasn’t even been fully tested. The American Journal of Therapeutics states, “Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in covid-19 deaths are possible using Ivermectin. Using Ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that Ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.” states it hasn’t been fully tested, while refusing to prescribe one that has long standing results is baffling. With that being said, I will be moving to another doctor that listens and respects their patients.

This office is so dysfunctional. They made me wait a month to come in and then canceled the appointment the day before because they "found out" the PA Abigale Sales is not authorized to take united health care. I asked them to call me to reschedule with another provider and I never heard back. Then I called 2 weeks later and made an appt woth doctor Simms instead of the PA. They had me wait almost an hour past your appointment time to be seen. They do not call you back when they say they will. It takes several days to call out referrals and the office staff is just incompetent. They lied saying they had not received my lab results when lab corp had the results posted the day after my appointment. The Dr. herself was nice but unapologetic about the issues in her office and did not listen to my either in two treatment options I was asking about. I then left two messages with the pracitce manager and 3 business days later she hasn't responded.

I have been a patient of Dr. Simms for about 2 years. She is always positive, willing to listen and consistently follows through. I have always found the office clean and efficiently run. I would recommend the facilities and care to anyone.

On time, and she took her time with me and listened to my concerns and acted on them. She is the best.

Dr. Simms is the most caring doctor I have ever had. I can not say enough about her true interest in my health. Nurse Norma and the rest of the staff are so kind and helpful they too deserve praise.

I have always been able to talk to the doctor and get my problems resolved. Coming here is like dealing with trusted family. They always treat me with tender loving care, because they really do care.
