List of Maria Stubbs's Reviews
I’ve never had such a horrible Dr visit in my 63 years. She didn’t provide much assistance and mumbled when she talked. I felt like I was a big burden on her. I was trying to establish care in my town. I will not go back for any reason. The staff was awesome. They get a 10+. Dr gets a 2-
Do not go to this doctor or clinic My husband was going to her for months and he has multiple medical problems and she never even did a hands on exam on him. I don't know how she does her job except to rely on labs and past providers assessments. She is extremely rude and will not answer guestions and never makes eye contact with patients or family members. My husband after months of seeing her brought a simple 3 page physical form from his private insurance company to her to complete and she refused saying" There were guestions on there she could not answer" I do suppose that makes sense because she NEVER did a assessment on him the whole time he was going to her. He also got hip xrays because he informed her he was having pain and his insurance company had requested it but then after several months he was never called with results or a follow up and had to call the hospital himself to get the results Her office staff up front are rude. But I give 1 star on the review because her nurse and the girl taking labs were friendly and did thier job well.
I had a terrible reaction to a medication given to me by another doctor in Cookeville. I called that doctors office to report reaction and received no help for debilitating symptoms. I walked in Dr. Maria Stubbs office right before 10am and explained my situation to Karen, the wonderful office person. She told me to have a seat and that Dr. Stubbs would see me immediately. By 10:15, I had seen the doctor, gotten help for my symptoms and was able to make another appointment by 10:30. That, imho, is how a doctors office should operate! Many thanks to Dr. Stubbs and her caring, friendly staff.
I brought my mother from out of state to her practice she was dirty told my mom that she took too many medications she takes medications for a heart condition and almost refuse to write for her meds
i was looking for a lady Doctor when I moved to town and was fortunate to connect with Dr. Maria Stubbs and her practice. They have their own lab right on the premises which is great. And they have walk-in clinics that we never had available where we lived in Ohio! Plus Karen at reception always remembers you and is the best at helping out!
Very poor follow up not responsive to questions or concerns, due your due diligence before making your decision.
She has always been good about helping get to other specialists that I need
My mother was a patient shortly before she died. She saw Dr. Stubbs and was prescribed several medications by Dr. Stubbs in the last several weeks of her life. My mother was in Dr. Stubbs' office exhibiting symptoms of a severe infection in late November 2017 and early December 2017. This infection later became sepsis and my mother died of septic shock on December 16, 2017. Several of the medications Dr. Stubbs prescribed in the last 2 weeks of my mom's life seemed to be aimed at reducing her symptoms rather than treating the infection (no antibiotics was prescribed). Dr. Stubbs then sent my mother home where she later fell into a coma that she never woke up from. All of the paperwork my mother had from these visits and visits to the emergency room showed signs of severe illness that required urgent medical intervention. My mother never received the advice she needed from her doctor and she was not treated for the infection she had. She was, instead, prescribed medications to treat constipation, reduce swelling, and diuretics. I won't place blame on Dr. Stubbs because this isn't the place or the appropriate forum to make those determinations. That said, it's important that people understand what allegedly happened to my mother while she was a patient of Dr. Stubbs. Make your own informed choice before seeing this doctor.
I was a patient of dr. Stubbs for a short time because i forgot to tell ger that the things i write on my medicine containers no matter how personal is for my information so that i will know what the medicine is for and not for the doctors so when she read on one of my dermatologist creams what it treats she sent me a letter firing me as a patient instead of having the guts to ask me about it then not allowing me to explaine why i labeled it the way i did and labeling me. I dont think that it is fair that doctors that are supposed to care for their patients would treat them in such a matter then spreading it around the office, what ever happened to doctor and patient confidence and the right to be confronted by your accusers and allowed to defend yourself. To me Dr. Stubbs is a bad doctor to do this to her patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
