List of Thomas Clayton's Reviews
Dr Clayton retired several years ago (probably about 2018) and was a wonderful old- style family doctor who had a wealth of knowledge and a kind thoughtful way of talking with (not talking to) patients.
My father's insurance company assigned Dr. Clayton as his primary care physician. My father called to make an appointment and was told he had to first submit paperwork to be approved by the doctor as a patient. I took time off work to take dad to the doctor office to submit the paperwork. Several days later, dad called to try to make an appointment and was told they still had not reviewed the paperwork and someone would call in a few days to make an appointment. Fast forward another week and I called to find out what was going on. I was told the doctor is not accepting new patients and the doctor doesn't accept my dad's insurance (the same insurance that showed the doctor as taking new patients and accepting dad's plan). When I asked why they couldn't have told us this 2 weeks sooner, there was no reason given. I have no idea whether I recommend the doctor, but his office is very poorly run and I wouldn't bother with him again.
Dr Clayton has reached that stage in life where when you go to work, you just go through the motions. He comes in the room with his agenda set much like an automaton. He does not hear what you say or just ignores it. I have been waitng 2 years on a physical therapy referal, and longer for a colonoscopy. I was forced to terminate his employment. Yes the DR works for the patient, not Medicaid or the insurance companies. The revenue source begins at the Patient.
Excellent Dr. I have gone to Clayton the past 4 yrs and have total confidence in his ability
Absolutely a great Dr. Would trust him with my Life and he has the best Nurse named kathy and a wonderful staff.
I became of patient of Dr.Clayton's in 2007.I was scheduled for an hour with the doctor for my initial visit, a physical examination, which I understand is his routine practice. My examination commenced on time at the appointed hour.I am a relatively healthy, sixty-something year old male. His exam was very thorough: it included a review of my personal and family medical history, a physical exam, an EKG, a chest xray and a blood test. The next day his staff called to report that the blood test results were all within normal range. At that time they scheduled a follow on physical for one year out and told me to call if I experienced any medical problems in the interim.I recently had my follow on annual examination which was conducted pretty much like the initial one.I feel Dr Clayton performed with all due diligence and his staff was courteous and efficient. In my experience, it is difficult to find timeliness, courtesy, and professionalism all together in one medical office. I count myself lucky.
Wonderfully delightful. Very concerned and aggressive with treatment. Also, very humorous...makes experience of visiting doctor enjoyable

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
