List of Mental Health Cooperative's Reviews
Last year around the time of covid-19 I was directed to Mental Health Coop in Dickson, and I have had utterly the worst experience. I was diagnosed with Anxiety, I have trouble with social experiences, daily experiences, and my overall mood and mental health has been affected because of it. In the short time I was with this cooperative I have had 3 assigned therapists/counselor/psychiatrist, I had my first for very under a month, even with covid, we had more in person visits which I had felt were more personal and beneficial, until she said that she would be leaving and moving on to a different office, she was very kinda and probably the most understanding person I had dealt with. My second was very absent, we would have scheduled visits that she wouldn't even bother to send a message, and then a week sometimes a couple of weeks would pass where she would call and we'd talk and she would say something along the lines of "sorry I was dealing with an inconvenience," I'm an understanding person, but when it comes to my personal mental health I think the least if I'm struggling I'd like to know that the person helping me will be unavailable, and like my last experience she told me she was leaving and I would be getting someone new. The third, she was a older lady and she was the longest psychiatrists I had and although a better experience I felt as if I was more like an animal than a human. There were days I was to a point where I felt that I could not go on and it felt as if it would be no more than a "use your coping mechanisms" response. Coping mechanisms work, I'm not denying that fact but if I am consistently stating that I'm trying and I still feel the same way, maybe we should try another root. Then... she also became more absent, a whole month would pass by with no message no call, and again no warning that I would be on my own. When I went to my mother and explained the situation she contacted Mental Health Coop and was told that "they were being informed we have been having regular visits and that they would get on the situation right away." Not much help you could expect, finally started receiving "hey I won't be available messages when do you want to next schedule" messages but it was so frequent, I felt completely ignored and if I wanted to be better and get through it I would have to put all of that pressure on myself to make it through. You'll never guess the next move... she quit too! I was told that I would be hearing from a new person as soon as they could find one, it never happened? I contacted the last girl I had, and Mental Health Coop and was again told that I would be assigned someone new. It's been 4 months and I have not been contacted I haven't been checked on, it's as if there wasn't even a thought about it. I will take into consideration my own mistakes there were days I would've completely forgot I had a visit, days my phone was dead, and my own inconveniences that would affect my visits/appointments, but all things considered I was and am still a youth with mental illness, and I think it should be expected that I can't have everything together all the time and not once was effort put in on the other side to be sure I was stable, and sure that I'd be able to make it and proceed with my appointments. If you expect understanding, willingness, consistency, or even just decency, do NOT choose Mental Health Coop, I am not the only one with this experience, plenty who share the same, or similar experience would agree this is not the route you want to take, or want your children to take.
Brought my son here for his severe ADHD and they wanted up prescribing him for it high blood pressure medication first of all he doesn't have high blood pressure second of all I went back to them and told them I did not feel comfortable for him taking this medication considering it was for high blood pressure not even for ADHD and the doctor literally looked at me and said that's what I feel comfortable for him to take well here's the thing you're NOT MY SONS mother I AM so I do not feel comfortable for him to take them she literally looked at me and said well I'm sorry I'm not prescribing him anything else so in saying that please do not go here they're very very unprofessional and they have no clue what they're doing they are so dumb
So i just moved here from Nashville and I want to see a provider closer to home.I only had to call to find out how unprofessional the staff is. Big pass.Find a provider that does telehealth if you can’t travel. Remember, the doctors get paid to work for us-Advocate for yourself.
They do not work with you at all when it comes to your schedule. They only have one counselor. They don’t have good attitudes towards their people.
Got there a few minutes late and the would not see my child and then would not fill mods until they were seen and front desk worker was very rude
They do not seem to care nor do they seem to like their jobs very much everyone is very mundane there are no smiles will not be getting service is there
Very good experience here staff is very nice knows how to get you in fast take care of you right to
Do not recommend at all.Do not trust these counselors as they violate hippa and do not follow state confidentiality.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
