Back on June 2 1999 I was having severe stomach pains our normal doctor was out so Dr guthrie was seeing his patients i went in he didn't examine me he just looked at me and said go home i was just having a stomach virus i went home and my pains was getting worse he call the next day to see how i was i told him it was worse then the day before he made me an appointment to see doctor Lomas that morning come to find out I was having a gallbladder attack he sent Sent me to Jackson hospital for surgery if I had waited it would have busted i ended up with a hole in my pancreas the size of a half dollar and yellow jaundice i was in the hospital for 7 days
long wait time to get into room then he's in n out in less than 5 minutes. seems too busy and in a hurry. prescribed meds that didn't help then told me to go see a different doctor. went to taht dr. she couldn't believe he prescribed what he gave me. she gave me a shot and within two days problem gone.
After a recent injury to my shoulder I made an appointment to see Dr Guthrie. I knew I needed an X-ray. Was told by staff they didn’t have time for me but if I came at 2:00 they would work me in. I told them I needed an X-ray and an order from my primary would speed up the process. After waiting several hours they finally sent the order. Had the X-ray and was told there were no broken bones but be sure to follow up with my primary care ASAP. Went to office at 2:00. Receptionist came out and in front of all other patients loudly said. “You don’t have any broken bones and he can’t do anything for you” I was shocked and embarrassed. I told her I could not move my arm and was told by radiatiologist to follow up with my doctor. She then said. “You need to go to an orthopedic doctor and we don’t have time to do that. This was a Friday afternoon. I ended up calling a chiropractor friend who guided me into what to do for the weekend and who to see.
They always manage to work me in if I'm sick. My prescriptions are easily managed.
David Guthrie, MD is always on the happy side. He cares about his patients & provides the best health care. He was a great doctor to work with, when he seen me at hospital he had the best bedside manners of any doctor. I highly recommend Dr Githrie.
Dr Guthrie is a great Dr. I have been seeing him for several yrs. However, his office has gotten overloaded w patients. The wait is too long. One day in the waiting room listening to people talk there were 3 of us who had the same time for an appt.
There have been times when my husband was not home and I had just seen Dr Guthrie for a heart problem and he called me at home in the evening to see that I was all right. He is so caring.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
