With my experience , everything about his office has been excellent!!

I had to give this a 1 star just to review. I am not giving the clinic a 1 star but one of their doctors, James J. Stamper, MD. the 1 star rating, although it should be ZERO. My husband was found to have a small hole in his heart in Oct 2008 while he was in the hospital. Dr. Stamper told us that many people our age had them but were never found out back in the 60's. He said he would monitor. IF it ever became a problem, it would be fixed. Strange to me that it just should have been fixed then. After all my husband was on dialysis waiting for a kidney transplant and had high blood pressure. He received a kidney later in December 2008.In 2014, my husband was going to need to go back on dialysis therefore needing a new access for the needle. Also the hole was getting bigger Dr. Stamper said. The plan was to go in and do a heart cath to approve my husband to get back on the transplant list to making sure he could withstand the surgery. The hole was not fixed and Dr. Stamper said it would be ok for a couple of months until the NEW Dr. he was referring us to could take care of it. He also told us his heart cath was fine.A couple of months later, when they went in to put the new access, the anesthesiologist asked why the hole had not been fixed. He seemed concerned and we told him. He said he would consult with the surgeon. No one came back to tell us anything would go wrong. So they did the surgery.2 days later my husband is in St. Francis Bartlett ER where his oxygen level was below 50. He was there for several days and he went for dialysis. From there he went into ICU where he was intubated.The Pulmonary doctor asked me if I knew he had a hole in his heart? I said I did and told him what Dr. Stamper said. He told me straight out that the hole in my husband's heart was what was killing him. The side that pumps out blue blood was large and pushing the red blood side down to where it was hardly any at all. I told the pulmonary doctor to fix the hole and he said that type of surgery would have to be done at Methodist University. I said move him but he told me that my husband would have to be stable first. Dr. Stamper was then called and came to ICU. I told Dr. Stamper because he didn't fix the hole my husband was dying and to fix him. His attitude was mean and he said I am trying to.When my husband was stable enough to be moved, he was. But it was to late. The surgeon at Methodist said he had to start my husband's heart 3 times and even put in a pace maker and he was sorry.When I got the heart cath records that Dr. Stamper said were fine. It said my husband had pulmonary hypertension. Pulmonary hypertension is a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in your lungs and the right side of your heart. Yet he did NOTHING to help him.My husband's cause of death of his death certificate was COR PULMONALE. Cor pulmonale is a condition that most commonly arises out of complications from high blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries (pulmonary hypertension). It’s also known as right-sided heart failure because it occurs within the right ventricle of your heart. Cor pulmonale causes the right ventricle to enlarge and pump blood less effectively than it should. The ventricle is then pushed to its limit and ultimately fails.This condition is often prevented when the high pressure of blood going to the lungs is controlled.So if in the beginning it would have been taken care of my husband would not have died from that. Dr. Stamper saw a middle age black man with Medicare/Medicaid and did not want to do the surgery is my feeling because it was so simple a fix to begin with.Clearly it was malpractice to me but in the State of Tn you must have another doctor say the doctor is at fault BEFORE you can even get to court. I tried talking to the Pulmonary doctor but he refused to see me. Therefore, no doctor to help me, Dr. Stamper did not have to answer for had happened.You be the judge

It's probably ok if you are a slim caucasian individual ; but please don't be African American and obese and go there. That's when you feel the mistreatment especially when you are really sick. If you are an African American and obese this is not the doctors office for you.

Extremely disappointed with his lack of caring and arrogant demeanor

last visit April 3,2019 He has been with me since 1999. he was kind and assuring ina time of panic for me. After all the years,He still has my best interest at hand. He talks and listens,DR.Anderson doesn"t leave you wandering what is best,He tells you. Great staff.(LACI and MS.JERRI).

Went to Dr. Anderson for a second opinion. He was very sincere and concerned. He ran tests to rule out any problems of which there were not. His staff is very nice and knowledgeable and the timing for visits and procedures was terrific. I would recommend Dr. Anderson and his staff highly

dr. anderson inserted two stents in mostly 100% blocked arteries in may of 2010.(widow maker) saved my life. in summer of 2018 he discovered i was afib when i went to him with shortness of breath and dizziness. he now has me on medication only that is working very well. he is my cardo for life..

I highly recommend sutherland cardiology as my husband was a part of their team and he saw dr. Borkowski . Dr . Borkowski and his nurse Lynde are awesome !!!! The whole team there are great as whether you call on the phone for something or go there in person they really make u feel cared about. I have recommended them to a lot of ppl as when someone mentions heart matters i mention sutherland cardiology !!!! Keep up the great job !! 🤗👍👍👍👍

Wonderful a very caring and knowledgeable doctor His nurses and assistants are always very pleasant

Dr. Anderson is a fantastic doctor. Ive been his patient for many years. I trust fully in his diagnosis and his surgical skills. Excellent doctor!
