I've been a patient of Colinger's and even though I now live in Elizabethton, I wouldn't go anywhere else. His staff takes a personal interest in the patients and treats them warmly the whole time. It doesn't feel awkward, it feels like you're talking to family. I remember I tried to go to the mental health place across the street from Colinger and they refused to see me because of my insurance -- this made no sense because at the time I had TennCare. Keep in mind, this was no everyday situation or appointment misunderstanding -- I was visibly in crisis and they still refused to see me. So naturally, I went to my general physician, Dr. Colinger. His nurse was offended by how they'd treated me and Colinger even helped me with the cost of my medications. You'll never find a family physician that cares as much as he and his staff do.

I don't think that he listen to his patients. You can't get the care that you know will work for you. He only wants you you to do what he wants you to do like he knows your body better than you do. I have waited months for a speacialist to be found for problems I have and still it has not been done. I am very unsatisfied with the care I have received and would never recommend him to anyone.

i liked that dr. jason was as courteous as anyone could be. he did take all the time you needed to talk with him about any concerns that you might have . That is one thing he should never change as he has more experience and prestige.
