Doctor incorrectly coded my daughter's emergency visit as a routine medical exam. My 1 year old daughter was back in the emergency room hours later at a different hospital, with a 105 degree fever. She was severely dehydrated, yet Dr. Holland considered our emergency room visit on Superbowl Sunday, 2013, as routine. Instead of taking the time to discover what was wrong with my daughter, he blew her off to return to watching the super bowl. Almost a year later we are receiving our first bill from his agency because our insurance company is refusing to pay the bill due to him incorrectly coding it as a routine visit. When his office was contacted, they hung up on us after insisting we pay them and that we are supposed to pay our portion of the deductible. We have already paid this bill in May, to the hospital. His account representative hung up on us when we were attempting to figure out the situation and find a copy of our check from the bill we paid.
