List of Raye-Anne Ayo's Reviews
Bottom line up front: If you are a man in need of a vasectomy, drop every plan you have and just go see Dr. Ayo. Seriously, stop procrastinating. I had a vasectomy last week, and Dr. Ayo and her staff were AMAZING. I had been searching for places to get a vasectomy, but I didn't have a good feeling about any of them after the consultations. I had a consult with Dr. Ayo, and the moment I walked through the doors, I could tell the atmosphere was different than any other place I'd been to. The ladies at the desk were so nice, and the nurses were polite and welcoming. Dr. Ayo answered my questions very patiently, explained the procedure to me, and was so very friendly. I work rotating shifts, so my schedule is very hectic, but Dr. Ayo was very accommodating when she was able to work me in on the same day she had another procedure. On the day of my procedure, I arrived a little early and was greeted by Dr. Ayo at the door inside. She took me back, explained how everything would work, and did her best to calm my nerves (she knew immediately how nervous I was). As for the procedure, I was given an IV and medication to help me tolerate the pain and relax. For any man who is nervous about this procedure, just know that getting the tiny stick in the arm for the IV was the most discomfort I felt. I received a local anesthetic down there, which was barely a pinch at all. There was a medical student who observed the procedure and did her best to laugh at my stupid jokes I crack when I get nervous. Dr. Ayo told me I'd feel a little pressure, which I did twice, but there was no pain at all. Everyone talked to me casually during the procedure, and I swear it only felt like maybe ten minutes, and we were done. They helped me get dressed and wheeled me out to my friend's car. I followed Dr. Ayo's after care instructions to the letter, and the biggest one was to keep ice on the incision site. We stopped at Sonic, bought a big bag of crushed ice, and I kept rotating them down there for 48 hours. The only pain I experienced after the procedure was getting up to walk to the bathroom, and even then, it was only a very minor discomfort. The incision site was only a couple millimeters long, and it NEVER bruised or swelled up (the ice is YOUR BEST FRIEND!) I had the procedure on Friday and was back to work on Monday. Now, a week later, I am very mobile and only feel an occasional bruised feeling down there, which is just part of the healing process. I know this review is a little long, but this is the kind of information I wanted to know before going down this road, and it was hard to find. I can't put into words how pleasant my experience was with Dr. Ayo and her staff at Family Health Center. I'd give them one hundred stars if I could.
Dr. Ayo has been my Family Physician for 10+ years. She is caring, compassionate, and listens to her patients. She is knowledgeable about current trends in medicine and the proper medications. Her staff is equally caring and professional. I would not place my care in the hands of anyone else.
Dr.Raye-Anne Ayo was awesome and her staff. They treat you like family. Would recommend this Family Practice 100%
Very processional and nice. I would recommend her to anyone.
On 10/11/2022 I visited Family Health Center, with a complaint of low blood sugar, and critical drops to less than 50. I was seen by the Physician's Assistant, and she promptly ordered a menagerie of lab work to try and get to the bottom of the issue. The nurse, Amber, came in, and took my blood. I asked her how long it would take to have the results. She told me, "No more than a week, but probably by Friday." I left and did not call back until that Friday. I called on Friday afternoon, and Amber called me back later that day. "The labs are not back yet, I told you one week." I agreed and apologized for bothering her, and she then hung the phone up. I called back on Wednesday, which was a full week since the blood drawing. They then told me they still did not have them. I waited until the following Friday morning, 10/21/2022, to call back. When she picked up the phone, she began to scream into the phone, "I DO NOT HAVE YOUR LABS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THAT, CALL THE LAB YOURSELF." After this phone call, I was distraught, but I did call the lab to confirm they had sent the report to the office. They told me that it had been sent, either that morning, or the day before. I called back and asked to speak to the nurse again. When she picked up the phone she answered with, "I DON'T KNOW IF YOU THINK I AM GATEKEEPING YOUR LABS, BUT I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO!" I replied telling her that I had spoken to the lab and that they did send them, and received confirmation that the Office had received them as well. I told her that I was getting sicker, and do not want to have to go to the hospital because I can't afford that, but if I didn't get answers soon, that I would have no choice. She screamed back, " GO TO THE HOSPITAL THEN. I DON'T HAVE THE LABS" and then hung up again. I had to go to the hospital that day to have my blood sugar issues addressed, and was confirmed at the hospital that my blood sugar had been dropping to dangerous levels and they educated me on how to properly care for this issue. Shortly after this emergency room visit, I got an email from the PA, that they HAD in fact had my lab results, and that I was having issues with my blood sugar. I have prediabetes, and that I could be referred to a endo, "If I wanted." This is 100% under the standard of care, and made me feel like I could not speak about my medical concerns with this office. I was having severe issues, and this RN was allowing me to continue to deteriorate, due to some emotional issues that she obviously could not separate from work, or some deep seated issues with her mental state. Any medical professional that is speaking to patients this way should be handled swiftly and with no mercy. There is not one reason she needed to address me this way, as I was never disrespectful to her, just very frustrated and concerned for my own health. I should be able to trust and feel comfortable with my providers, and she absolutely destroyed that. Not only this, but it made me experience several panic attacks, trying to find a new provider to help me with my issues, as I was not going to come back to the office that allows that kind of patient/provider interaction. This is unacceptable. I am not sure if she uses this demeanor with all her patients, but I would like this to be taken into consideration before someone chooses this practice. I have also placed complaints with the Nursing Board, and the office manager, Bea.

Dr. Ayo performed my vasectomy and the entire process was flawless. I didn't have to wait weeks for a consultation and the procedure was done within a week of the consult. Clinical staff was great and the billing dept actually knows what they are doing. I've had bad experiences with the billing dept of other medical facilities. I was originally going to have it done at a well known, local, urology group and my experience was horrible. Long wait for consult, longer wait for procedure. I had to call multiple times to get my procedure date and my pre-auth; it's like they just didn't care. So, I canceled that and went to Dr. Ayo. Absolutely the best choice I could have made. Unquestionably a 10/10 and would recommend to anyone. Dr. Ayo wheeled me out to the car herself after the procedure. From start to finish, I felt like I was surrounded by caring, professional people. Thank you, Dr Ayo and staff. It was a great experience.
First appointment coming from Morristown was running late due to accident traffic they waited until I got their to tell me I would need to reschedule even though the office was completely empty and I wasn’t all that late.
Dr. Ayo and her staff did an amazing job. Last week I went in for a Vasectomy. I don't normally get nervous, but my blood pressure was sky high. The nurse was very professional and set my mind at ease. Dr. Ayo and her staff were very professional and the procedure lasted about 45 minutes. I followed her aftercare directions and didn't have any swelling or pain. Anyone thinking about having a vasectomy needs to call the Family Health Center and set up an appointment with Dr. Ayo.
I switched health insurance just to see this Dr after the raving reviews and speaking with the lady in billing. I needed a Dr that would listen have compassion and understanding, this really seemed like the place. I made an appointment for two weeks out, didn’t get a call the night before due to a typo and so had to rush to find a ride. My fiancé ended up taking off work to take me since I can’t drive due to a medical issue that we still don’t know what it is. We came from Morristown an hour away, there was a train and an accident so we ended up being late about 15 minutes, not a soul in the waiting room. We were told she would take us back shortly and after about 5 minutes told nope we need a new appointment because they didn’t realize we were late. Obviously they weren’t in a time crunch if they didn’t notice we were late and nobody in the office. Would not reason with me or make any exceptions or compromise. This is the attitude of a business not a caring or compassionate Dr
