Dr. Barnes has been my doctor for more than 30 years. He has always handled my care well and confidently. If I have a concern and request a referral to a specialist, he does so without offense or resentment as some doctors do. I am not an easy patient. I read. I think. I question. He is always okay with that and is patient with me. He always explains everything in great detail. He has a fantastic attitude. He is warm and friendly. If I have to wait a while past my appointment time to see him, I don't mind because I know that he will take all the time I need when I do get to back to see him. That's why he is running behind -- because he is taking extra time with another patient. I feel blessed to have had him for my primary care for all these years.

Our pharmacist just told us that Dr. Barnes has been prescribing medication that should not be given with others being taken. He is often out of the office and my husband can not get his blood checked (on blood thiners)because Dr. Barnes staff says he's waited too long since his last blood check. We're now trying to find a doctor who will check his blood. My husband is being treated by a neurologist for frontal lobe dementia. Years ago when I told Dr. Barnes that my husband was losing words and getting confused Barnes just said he was fine for his age. We went through many violent episodes before we found a doctor to treat the dementia. As another former patient of his said "He'll kindly hold your hand while you die, but won't do anything to keep you living.".

I recently moved to the area and ended up with Dr. Barnes out of chance. I am so glad that I did because he is patient and kind and is one of the best MDs I have ever has the pleasure of dealing with. Highly recomended!!!

Dr. Barnes is a very caring person and willing to go the extra steps to insure your well being and health are taken care of. His staff are among the best I've delt with.
