My husband has been given excellent care by Dr. Weikert, for an eye injury. He and his staff are friendly, professional and very caring.

I was a new patient. The two women at the front desk were incredibly rude and cold. My appt was at 2:20 and I was taken back at 3:20 only to be put in another waiting room. I was there for a possible eye stroke. The doctor walked in and tilted my head twice and said I was okay. He then proceeded to tell my eyeglasses were not needed and that I paid a lot for mine and he paid 10 for his. He was in the room with me less than 7 mins . He didn’t want to stay that long but I keep pushing for answers I didn’t get. I spent $75.00 just to be insulted and being talked down too. There are way to many good doctors out there than to waste your time and money on this place. I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this place is rude and very disrespectful of your time and management of care.

Dr. Weikert was very caring about my eyes. He did such a wonderful job with my eyes. I was very nervous about the procedure but he understood and took the time to calm me down. He even called the day after to checked on me. I would highly recommend him for eye surgery.

Dr. Weikert is hands down the BEST. I was seen by him for a rare condition. He immediately referred me to specialty Dr.’s in this area. He was compassionate and kind. He followed up the next day with a phone call to inquire how I was doing. I appreciate his knowledge and expertise in sending me on. Love this Dr. and will follow up with him going forward!!!

Hands down BEST Ophthalmologist. I was seen for a rare condition. Dr. Weikert wasted no time referring me to specialty Dr.’s in this area. He took the time to call me back the following day to inquire how I was doing. Most compassionate kind Dr. I’ve ever seen and will follow up with him in the future. Thank you Dr. Welkert for caring!

Wonderful person. I like a no fluff doctor who tell it like it is. He explained everything to me and did the laser surgery on my left eye because of cataracts. I had no problems, and did exactly what he suggested. Next week he will be doing the same thing on my right eye. I expect the same results. The speculum does hurt but he is very understanding and caring. He takes the time to talk explain everything and doesn't rush me out. He is a good one.

Dr. Daniel Weikert Cool Springs Surgical Associates While Dr. Weikert was extremely competent and available for emergency, he has a tendency to undersell the available lense replacements which may result in multiple surgeries. When I first went to him for an eye exam, he indicated that I had cataracts that were causing my recent decline in my long distance sight. I was tested and my close and medium sight was extraordinary. With the knowledge of my lack of use of eye glasses for reading and computer work (as a lawyer I spend hours reading and computer usage) and my only need to improve my distance (driving) sight, I asked Dr. Weikert for his advice on the appropriate replacement lense. He recommended the monofocal lenses ($4,000.00) and stated that there was a 90% chance of not needing eyeglasses. After the surgery, I discovered that where I had previously excellent near and medium eyesight, I had a need for two different reader eyeglasses. I went from being near sighted to being perfectly far sighted. The degraded vision was because the use of monofocal lenses were designed to degrade near and medium vision and ONLY improve distance sight. I was so devastated, I couln’t even drive without eyeglasses (unable to read the dashboard clearly). Also, I found I was unable to shop in grocery stores without eyeglasses. When I contacted Dr. Weikert from emergency room in a hospital (I had temporarily lost the ability to focus at every distance), he informed me that I would need the multifocal lense. After he performed the third surgery on my eyes replacing the monofocal with the multifocal lenses ($5,000.00), I finally have almost perfect eye sight. Most of the additional cost and the third surgery was a result of Dr. Weikert’s failing to recommend the appropriate lense replacements and failure to mention that my vision would be tremendously degraded by use of the monofocal lenses. In both instances I had asked Dr. Weikert for (1) his advise on the best type of lens that I should receive, regardless of costs (a point for which I was adamant) and (2) what were the possible adverse consequences.

I honestly cannot find enough words to tell anyone how incredibly brilliant and talented Dr. Weikert is! He is very kind, knowledgeable & very caring! He did my cataracts with so much care & made me feel so comfortable & relaxed while doing it! I had & have full confidence in him & I would NEVER go to any other Dr!! I thought I would have to wear glasses after my cataracts were done (as I wore glasses at the age of 6) but Dr. Weikert’s experience & expertise I do NOT have to wear distance glasses which is an incredible gift! He has been highly recommended to me & I can see why! Thank you Dr. Weikert! I also want to say a big thank you to Dr. Weikert staff who is SO supportive & SO caring!!

I can't speak highly enough about Dr Weikert. He is thorough, knowledgeable and cares about his patients. He worked with me to ensure there were no issues and that everything is healing fine. I feel very confident that I received the best care and highly recommend Dr Weikert to anyone considering this surgery. Morse Conyer

Go to Dr. Weikert if you like being talked 'at' Go to Dr. Weikert if you like being talked 'at' instead of talked 'to'. When I tried to asked questions, he cut me off with an answer in a condescending tone. The only thing that stopped me from speaking up was the thought of what I dad would have said--it put a smile on my face just thinking about it. Maybe Dr. W was having a bad day but he seemed way too comfortable with that style of communication. My suggestion, Bedside manner school. I will not be going back.
