Dr Steigelfest is the most caring and compassionate person, and doctor, Ive ever met. He is the widely acknowledged best in his area of expertise, but treats his patients with a level of concern rarely seen in the medical profession today. He deserves nothing but 5 stars across the board.

It took quite a while to get in to see Dr. Steiglefest and he spent ten minutes seeing me. He poked a few of my joints, then handed me a pamphlet about fibromyalgia and told me to research it myself. He prescribed wellbutrin even though I told him that I was not depressed only in an immense amount of pain. He verbally to me blamed medication that I was taking for my pain but left that out of the notes that he sent back to the referring physician. Long story short, I found another rheumatologist who diagnosed me with inflammatory arthritis, prescribed methotrexate and got me feeling much better in a few weeks.

Dr Eli was very professional. He took his time making sure I understood everything and he was very through in his questions. My appointment did not feel rushed.

After seeing this doctor today after waiting 5 months for an appointment he seemed to have no intention to help me with my RA because my husband and I had decided we were going to stay with the treatment over fifty percent of RA patients use. Because we didn't want to change to the extremely expensive options, he being a Rhumatoid specialist claimed as a specialist in RA he was not going to write my minimal pain and muscle relaxer and he could send me to a Vanderbilt Pain iniv. If that was really true I wasted my and my husband time. Because my Blood RA test wasn't done through Vanderbilt he acted as though as a RA specialist he could do nothing to help even though my pain and muscle relaxers were allowing me to function he as a RA specialist wasn't going to help. If Vanderbilt will not let their specialist treat their patients it's seems like we were just punched and I the patient would now have to spend more money to go to a different clinic when I could have skipped him and went to the other clinic instead. Lesson learned. If this truly is how Vanderbilt now treats their patients they have fallen far far down from Grace and is now more in the business of making money just too pass to pass patients from clinic to clinic. He made both me and my husband feel like we were there just for drugs which is disgusting and he refused to say I have RA and wanted his lab to repeat the test but if he's supposed to be such a good RA specialist he would know RA doesn't always show in the blood but mine did just not from his lab where he could make even more useless money today. Waste of time. Would not accepted RA documents because they were not done by him. He never even put me on the exam table. He refused to say I have RA even with medical records reflecting so plus the fact I have been on RA meds for about 2.5 years after I awoke one day and could not move. My family doctor knew what to start me on while we waited for blood test to confirm as well as a brain MRI

DO NOT GO TO THIS DR! It took 5 months to see this doctor to begin with. After numerous phone calls and trying to get my records transferred to them they finally said my records were there. Upon doing a video call( that they forced me to do instead of a real doctor's visit )I found out they did not have any of my medical records. The entire visit was a complete waste of time with a man that did not even look like he had showered in months. With no background no blood work no medical history he even wanted to start prescribing different medications for me. This doctor's office is using the covid virus to scam people. Don't waste your time find a real doctor's office that will really see you. There are many of them I have found a new doctor that does not want to waste my time. And seen me in person within 2 weeks. On top of all that they billed my insurance $568 for a phone call.

Due to COVID-19 I had a couple appointments canceled finally the doctor and I did a zoom call together and it was the first time I have done zoom. I felt comfortable & appreciated his patience with me!!! I am not a computer person! But we discussed all my concerns & I am confident in our next move for my Hands!!!
