My mother had surgery today Dr was very hateful didnt explain anything. Nurses was do my mother was having chest pains and this awful dr didn't care at all. She has afib and seizure issues this man didn't care he was awful DONT NOT GO HERE I WILL BE SENDING IN TO THE MEDICAL REVOEW BOARD!
jumped the gun on surgery He did my. cataract before it was ready and now I have scars on my eyes that can't be reversed. Get a second opinion please!
Thorough, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. I am so please he did the cataract surgery on both my eyes. Had zero complications and healed quickly.. Couldn't be more pleased.
the surgery went well however the doctor his no bedside manner after surgery he came into the room never introduced himself to my wife said nothing and went back to his other surgery the office staff were polite and efficient the days after surgery i had many concerns when i was driving three day after surgery i found myself wandering all over the road i was upset and called his office and i admitted i used inappropriate language but i was nervous and the man in the office was rude and didn’t care about my concerns and had no suggestions how i should handle my problem for that reason i would not recommend. this office not caring about a patient’s concern is a real issue
To long wait in waiting room, if appointment is 9:00 you might get call back at 10:30 the nurses sound like army sergeant direct you to a seat - no friendly in any of the staff. All they said when you check in "what your name" " you owe so much money"
Eye swollen shut after cataract surgery. Repeated episodes. Treated with steroid drops,."nothing to worry about,.just your immune system." Weeks later, after several rounds of steroid drops, another ophthalmologist found full blown ophthalmitis. A fiber from raytek sponge (surgical) imbedded in inner eyelid was found and removed and antibiotics and systemic steroids started. No excuse for not looking under the eyelid,...

I can not give a review of the doctor because I could not make it beyond his incredibly rude staff! I am a 64 year old woman who was referred by a hospitalist. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I am overly cautious about any eye problems considering my Mother and my sister both lost their sight. I hope the people who dealt with me will never be forced to see their Mother treated as I was.
Waited an hour and a half to be seen, packed overbooked office... after being referred for serious eye condition by my regular Opthamologist. Dr. was rude and uncaring ,and in a hurry. When I asked how long would it take to start to heal if the treatment was working, he literally said in a rude tone, "That is an inappropriate question.I don't know , I am not going to venture to say !" What?? He was promptly told that asking a doctor a question was NOT inappropriate,(not gonna be treated like that)..vision loss and pain for 3 weeks now and just wondering more about the disease.. Then said that everybody is different and sometimes it takes a long time , sometimes not ,but he wasn't going to answer and repeated that it was inappropriate to ask! Since when is a question inappropriate? Saw him like 5 minutes and that was too much. I bet he gets a hefty check too.Wonder if he hopes you don't get better so he can get more visits.Terrible attitude..so condescending..The patient should be told something about their condition. This isn't pink eye! And then he said that he was going make a follow up in 5 days to see if there was improvement. Then he literally ran away and out out of sight before he got another question! Then at the pharmacy.... the insurance wouldn't cover the medication without prior authorization as a medical necessity, and when Dr. Calvert's office was called they said they didn't have anyone on staff to do that sort of thing! Have to wait and see if the girl who comes in other days there could do something like that. This is a vision threatening disorder, and not the only thing wrong medically, so now extra out of pocket expense to TRY to not go blind! Have seen over 90 doctors for chronic illness over the last few years. A female nurse practitioner took the time and made the first life saving diagnosis after lots of doctors too busy to listen. Even so, this guy is the second worst doctor through all that experience. Go somewhere else if you can. He is the only game in several towns nearby but we will be looking for an alternative and praying he doesn't retaliate for daring asking a question, and God forbid need a surgical treatment from him. SO unprofessional.
The absolute worse office staff! Waited 35 min still hadn't been called when asking is there a better time she snapped back they always busy! No apologies for the long wait attitude like my time isn't valuable the exact reason for appointments! If I was 30 min late would I be seen?? NOT

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
