My mother seen Davenport a week ago.. He was supposed to call in medicine for her. I called them same day as appointment because medicine was still not called into pharmacy and office stated he calls all medicine in at end of day. Well I have followed up everyday and they keep giving me a run around. Excuses are “we sent him a message” or “his dad had an emergency”. Now today medicine still isn’t called in and they are saying he is on vacation. I asked if they could look in chart and see what the medicine is called to see if her primary care doctor will call it in and they said they don’t keep that in her record.
I took my mother and brother to see Davenport. Vist seem good . We drive over 1 hour and a half. So decided both needed colonospy. We show up a hour early like was supposed to . After 2 hours passed appointment. Went to see how much longer. They said 2 more hours. He new my mom is 800 years old and my brother is blind and crippled. With mental problems. And after awile they have a hard time getting in the car. So we couldnt stay. He apologized. I told them that i dont think my brother was cleaned out good. Cause he takes mirolax everyday. His nures thought it would be fine. So in about a month we tryed again took the 2 bottle of stuff to drink. And started at lunch to have plenty of time to work. No luck. He stomach swelles up nothing comes out. Conplain of chest pain and pressure. So he finally poops 2 am and keeps going for 2 days. We gave Gatorade broth pedlite. He had blood in his urine, was dehydrate. So we didn't make it. Our family dr requests for him to be put in hospital so the could help with his kidneys and see he is ok.his blood wk was off cause of this. I told them he take mirolax everyday at homw. And that stuff he prescribed will not work alone. Well we rescheduled 9-16-2022 Dr gave a few pills to help they done good at home. But nothing whenat home to clean himout. Nothing just stops. So he said get a motel Wednesday 14 of sept we start the eary prep then hospital. Same drinkto start prep one day early and Thursday go in the hospital, to help get the cleanout done. Well on my way to frankin on Wednesday to hotel reservations . He calls me on the phone in the car to say no how stay Thursday. We i dont think he tried to getting it. I feel like he made the store up so i would rent the roomss and if i have to pay for anything that get feces on it, wouldn't be his problem. I dont think he told in the hole situation. His pcp and case workers were stating that he needed in the hospital. Me and my 80 year old mother had to but shower curtain to put on floors and other items to not destroy any of the things in the hotel. I will never go back to Davenport office or speak nothing good about him. And his office person that answers the phone things she knows everything. So done ask for a nurse. Cause i think she thinks she is she dose it all. She answers the phone checks the clints in and no one else works there. My mom never rescheduled her procedure cause she now dont trust anything that comes out of there mouth
My daughter had major GI complications resulting from Covid. The first two visits with Dr. Davenport were ok at best. The office staff did not file insurance paperwork in a timely fashion, so her procedure was postponed for a week. When we did show up the following week at the surgery center, she was not even on the schedule for the day then, either. After giving the surgery center all of the info that should’ve been sent from his office and a lengthy wait, she was finally seen. After he results were in, she was supposed to be scheduled for a follow up to “tweak medications.” My daughter has called and left two messages with no call back. It’s been over a month with still no call back. She is still experiencing bad symptoms and can’t even get a return call for a medication refill. Nice guy, but no professionalism. His office staff is equally disappointing.
Absolute worst experience. This Dr. was more concerned about how awful my insurance was than actually taking care of his patient. He complained about my insurance not paying enough. I am disgusted with the way this office handled my exam. If you as a Dr. don’t feel that you get paid enough from this insurance DONT TAKE IT! DONT PUNISH YOUR PATIENTS because of it either! I’m appalled and sick to my stomach over it.
I have been with Dr. Davenport for 3 years when he diagnosed me with gastroparesis. I have always had my colonoscopy with another dr. but figured since I was under his care would let him do it! The prep he likes to proscribe start at 6 p.m with 2nd dose at 2 p.m. Needless to say not much sleep that night. When he came in to see me prior to the procedure I said we needed to talk about 2:00 preps. His comment was its what worked best for him. What about the patient! During the procedure I vomited and aspirated, ending up in the hospital for 5 days with pneumonia! When he came by to check on me the next day I said I didn’t think he’d taken my gastroparesis (stomach doesn’t empty for 8 hours) into consideration and he admitted it was his mistake and we’d do something different next time! There will be no next time!
I went to Dr Davenport for my first colonoscopy. The prep was a breeze compared to horror stories I’d heard. The procedure was quick and easy. I may have had to wait a bit that morning but I’m in healthcare and I know things happen that are unavoidable so it was no big deal. I later went back for another personal issue and he was sensitive, professional and gave an accurate diagnosis and advice. I would definitely recommend him.
Doctor is very nice and obviously extremely intelligent. How, I am disappointed in the lack of follow up communication. Prescriptions not transmitted to pharmacy as promised, phone calls not returned.
Dr. Davenport scheduled a colon scope for me while in the recovery room waiting for the results he took a personal phone call before finishing giving me my results letting me know whether everything was ok or not. Should of been first sign of his character. 30 pounds later he has not helped me at all. Consider yourself lucky if his office staff answers the phone. If you leave a message for him expect it to be two days later before he returns your call no matter how urgent the call maybe for you. To many decent doctors in Williamson County to go to this one. In my 50 years this is the worst care of ever received. In my 50 years this is the worst care of ever received.
I visited Dr. Davenport's office in January 2019. He scheduled me for a colonoscopy. The preparation for a colonoscopy is very taxing, especially on those with blood sugar issues like me. I arrived at 9:30am. 11:15am I asked the nurse how long, at that point I was nearing black out and let them know. At 12:30pm I had to cancel and leave after 36 hours of agonizing? prep. Others waiting let me know of his lack of timeliness. The nurse was nice, but I did not like Dr. Davenport. I will not return.
I Saw Dr. Davenport 1/2019 for gastro issues. He schedule me for a colonoscopy. Preparing for this is a taxing process, especially for those with blood sugar problems like me. I arrived at 9:30am for the colonoscopy, the Dr. wasn't even there. My husband took a day out of work, my child at daycare, and my body going through torture. I waited 2 hours and asked the nurse for timing. I received excuses for the doctor and the lack of timeliness and care. I waited till 12:30pm, when I felt like blacking out, and begged to be seen. Nothing could be done so I had to cancel. I spent 36 hours in grueling prep and 3 hours waiting for absolutely nothing. I will not be returning, especially after others in the room told me about their past horrible experiences with this doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
