There is not enough space to write my appreciation for Dr. O'Shaughnessy and her staff. When I first saw her I was at my lowest point after too many issues with my prophylactic mastectomy. She came highly recommended by my Mother's GYN, several surgery nurses, sweet lady at Pink Boutique, and past/current patients. I was being led to her from every direction so I LISTENED! I lost my reconstruction and ended up with a less than ideal flat closure and some big feelings that made me scared to face another surgery. I never dreamed she would improve my situation as much as she did with only 1 surgery. She exceeded all my expectations and gave me my dignity back. More than anything she gave me hope that one day I may have the courage to try reconstruction again....only with her. The education provided by her nurses before surgery was amazing. I was provided all the tools and resources needed to prepare for a successful surgery, recovery, and outcome. The education and care provided post op is beyond amazing. As they removed my surgical dressings they educated me and my husband the entire time. As they placed new dressings they educated us more. The wealth of information they provide gave me a feeling of safety and comfort that can not be put into words. As my husband and I walked out of my first post-op appointment from her office he stopped and said...."it is hard but we can't wish we had her from the beginning. We have to just be thankful we have her now". They are that amazing and we are so very thankful.

I don't have enough words to adequately describe the incredible patient experience I've had with Dr O'Shaughnessy and her team!! As a provider AND a patient, it was important to find someone who reflected my values. Dr O'Shaughnessy and her team made a very difficult situation the best it could be! She is the perfect combination of compassion, intelligence, and advocacy you will find, using evidence based practice. I cannot imagine this journey without her and her team's care. I am beyond GRATEFUL for her care and recommend her to everyone.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Saying Dr. O’Shaughnessy is an incredible doctor is an understatement. She is done reconstruction for my breast cancer and I am so happy with the results. You’re not just a number, she actually sees you and cares. She cares to help you feel comfortable in your body by restoring what was taken. Her staff is amazing and I am so thankful God led me to her.

First and foremost, Dr. O’Shaughnessy is a gifted, talented physician. Professionally, you could not have a better doctor. Her attention to details, her caring, listening, and overall joyful demeanor make her special. My results are exception and exactly what I hope for and the recovery was well monitored and went without a hitch. The office and entire staff mirror the positivity and professional experience. I am grateful.

Dr. O is the best of the best!!!

She did my surgery for breast cancer and I had little to no pain at all. She's wonderful at what she does very compassionate and listens to your concerns. Her staff is very friendly also. I'm glad that I chose her and very grateful.

Dr O'Shaughnessy is the surgeon's surgeon. She is intelligent, compassionate, and an expert in her field. Her staff, also. My experience of going through breast cancer and reconstruction were deeply impacted in a positive way by Dr O and her staff. I recommend her to everyone. There truly are not enough words for my gratitude. She is honest, caring, and an advocate for her patients.

I wanted some cosmetic surgery due to a significant weight loss. I was hesitant because I didn't want obvious signs of the surgery. I can't say enough good things about the staff and Dr. O'Shaughnessy. They are so welcoming and didn't make me feel silly about anything on my lengthy list of questions. The surgery was successful beyond my wildest expectations. I cannot recommend them enough - from the time you walk through the door they make you feel comfortable. They also went above and beyond with my privacy concerns.

Shhh...don’t tell anyone but Dr. O (and Dr. L)is the best and her staff is even better. Dr. O is patient, kind and is very meticulous. She will explain the process in detail and in a way that you can understand. Dr. O and her staff had a challenging situation with all my surgeries and they are incredible. If you are looking for a surgeon for breast cancer reconstruction you will not find anyone better in the Nashville area or anywhere as far as I am concerned.

What a blessing it truly was to find such a talented, educated and caring plastic surgeon, Dr. O'Shaughnessy. My experience from the first time I stepped into her office has been wonderful. I was fearful to have another breast reconstructive surgery after many problematic ones in the past following my prophylactic double mastectomy. I came to Dr. O'Shaughnessy expressing my concerns and goals about what I wanted from another reconstructive surgery. She put all my fears at ease and educated me on the procedure and process she takes for successful fat grafting and contouring. I then had my first surgery and the results were better than i could have EVER imagined. I healed so nicely, had great follow up with her and her lovely staff, and they held my hand every step of the way. I then wanted to achieve bigger and fuller results as this was my overall goal to be larger. 4 months later I went for my second fat grafting procedure and the same pre and post op care was given! I am now 4 months out after my last surgery and my results exceptional. I truly have no words that can express how in love I am with my new breast. As a women, going through a mastectomy for whatever reason is truly makes you feel a part of your womanhood is gone. My breast are perfectly shaped, full, contoured, and volumize! Fat grafting with implants helped me achieve my desired result. Also this surgery with Dr. O was the FIRST fat grafting surgery I had since my prior 5 reconstructive surgery's that the fat took and stayed!!! Please do not see anyone else for your breast reconstructive needs then Dr. O. Her talent and skills will give you the results you want beyond your wildest dreams. Thank you for changing my life and giving me my confidence back.
