I truly wish it were possible to rate the doctor and the front desk staff separately. The doctor was exceptional—professional of a full 5 stars. Unfortunately, my overall experience was overshadowed by the front desk staff. They came across as unwelcoming and unresponsive, with minimal communication and a lack of basic courtesy. Their dismissive attitude made the visit far less pleasant than it could have been. What was most disappointing is that when we informed the staff that we would be leaving after a long 3 hr wait, before receiving any services, there was no effort to understand our concern—no questions asked, just a simple “okay.” That lack of engagement left a lasting impression. While I greatly appreciated the doctor’s care, the front desk experience would make me hesitant to return in the future.
I had an overall great experience here. I’ll start with the con (there was only one). I called to make an appointment on Thursday for today 2/24/25 the front desk woman I spoke to was very professional, patient, she answered all of my questions, she was very knowledgeable, and she helped me out a lot. I needed emergency care due to intense pain that I was getting from my wisdom teeth that I kept putting off because it was expensive. I am new to the whole dental insurance thing and she was even able to help me out with that and helped me get all of my affairs in order before my appointment. I wish I got her name. The only thing was she accidentally scheduled me for March and I didn’t realize the text I was given said that. I called as soon as they opened today to clear up the misunderstanding and the manager was able to fit me in despite their schedule being full for today. The woman who reviewed my care with me was amazing 10/10 personality. She was very thorough with my care plan, super detailed and she made sure my driver was in the room so that he knew how to take care of me after. You don’t get that at a lot of places!! All of my wisdom teeth were impacted and one of them was coming in at a 90° angle. It even cracked my tooth. I might need braces again because of this. Ugh. But anyways. The man who did my IV/anesthesia was equally as awesome, I barely even felt the needle when it went in. They made me feel very comfortable the entire time. We shared some laughs and then got right down to business. Almost immediately, I felt the effects of the anesthesia and do not remember the procedure at all. From what I was told they put me in a wheelchair after and rolled me out to my driver. They gave me a headband ice pack that worked wonders. I was back to normal probably 2 hours later and was even playing fetch with my dog after a short nap. After that, I was cleaning my place. It’s only the first day, but I have little to no pain. Only slight discomfort. Nothing that a good 600 mg ibuprofen wouldn’t take care of. No bruising. Very little swelling. A little numbness which was expected. I bled for probably 5 hours after the procedure. Well, more like I bled for 2 hours and then the bleeding stopped and then after a hour of playing fetch with my dog, one of the sockets started bleeding again. This is to say please listen to the medical instructions they give you and don’t do any strenuous activities after surgery. I didn’t know playing fetch with my dog counted but I guess it did. I have a very low-cost dental insurance plan and I only paid $808 for the whole procedure. None of the teeth were breached. This is much, much less than what I was being quoted at other places.
A great experience at Oral Surgical especially for a person with dental phobia. The staff from the front to the back are fabulous. Dr Zacharias is so very kind and personable. I would definitely highly recommend them.
Dr Zacharias and his staff are excellent. I had a serious issue and it was nice to be able to call and immediately talk to someone. His staff understood that I did have an issue and they were able to quickly get me an appointment. I was seen at the time of my appointment. Dr Zacharias is highly skilled, the procedure went smoothly. He resolved my issue and I had no pain. I highly recommend this office.
Have booked appointment 2 months ago for an extraction tomorrow and just got a call saying my insurance is not accepted there. If it was communicated early I would have have found another place. Now I will have to find another place and then wait for months for my extraction. It's a waste of time and effort.
Dr Zacharias and his staff just performed some serious oral surgery on me. The whole experience exceeded my expectation. It was great. It started with booking the appointment. When I called a "real person" answered the phone. She understood the seriousness of my issue and was able to book a quick appointment. When I arrived for the appointment I was taken on time. Great no waiting. Dr. Zacharias and (3) nurses worked on the surgery. I considered the procedure fairly complex but I was surprised how they performed it totally painless, quick and the results were completely successful. I highly recommend this oral surgical office, and especially Dr Zacharias.
Dr. Zacharias and his staff are super kind and courteous! Can’t thank y’all enough for taking my pain seriously and creating a reasonable treatment plan. Definitely schedule an appointment with them if you’re struggling with TMJ pain.
Sorry I can give more than that, I will give more to the Doctor that he was so nice he explained it the procedure very well and the staff is very trained to how be nice and keep telling the same thing over and over and at the end is not answer, first when I had the first appointment it take 3 hours for me to see the Doctor plus when I was checking in already someone else it was complaining about the services and how much this person it was waiting his time ( not my business) so I check in and wait 3 hours and finally meet the doctor very nice , but like a said the place take forever to do anything you need I don’t know if is because the over patients and not a lot staff I don’t know but I will not recommend this place I’m sorry my experience is not been so good so I can’t give more stars I actually look to move forward and try to found someone to help with my needs, I hope this help others and I wish the best to the others and hope they can get better experience and me .
My daughter had all wisdom teeth extracted and from first visit-to surgery-to follow up appointment, it all went smoother than silk. Everyone in the office was respectful and diligent, on the phone and in person. Dr. Pitts was great in every one of those 3 visits. He speaks quick but it seems to be his style, it doesn’t mean he is rushed or was not listening. He did not leave until we were satisfied and done with questions, and I ask a lot! My daughter said “hes giving derek shepherd” lol! Also… please buy the ice mask! It was soooo worth it! My daughter used it religiously for 3 days. Zero bruising and minimal swelling (which I attribute to the ice, but also to Dr. Pitts hands).
Dr. Pitts was personable and performed a quick, efficient tooth extraction. The joy ends there. The whole process, end to end, took 3 hours 15 minutes. Every step was punctuated by lengthy and unexplained delays. Having to wait this long for a 7-minute procedure says "We don't care about the patient" in the most forceful manner possible. Despite Dr. Pitts, I can't recommend using this provider.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
