Best psych facilities in TN
from a patient who was here, I definitely recommend this place for anybody who needs it, I was here 3 times, each time was good. the staff are all super nice, no complaints whatsoever. they stopped fights when needed.
Good experience with my Psychiatrist and Nursing staff. Great roommate. The Medical Dr. had no clue what was wrong with me. Both my feet hurt , with edema and skin sloffing. The med dr said I could elevate my legs but did not write an order. I had to be my own advocate so I would be allowed to elevate my feet for a short time. The Medical Doctor wouldn’t make it outside of Rolling Hills. The Director should rethink his past decision and get a Medical Dr. who knows something. I actually had cellulitis from a new medication that was given to me. Staff who did groups were great! The MHT’s were wonderful! I had favorite nurses Ashley, Michele, Mohammed, and just all the nurses who cared for me! The food was only tolerated. There is too long of a period between Libyans dinner. Patients are expected to stay out of their rooms until or close to 6 hours. Us elderly patients need to take naps. We are not teenagers or even young adults! There was an 89 year old women in the same time as myself. She was so tired and wanted to nap! That can be a medical issue! Your older pt floor needs to be revamped to fit the elderly, not to fit what’s in place. There should be a gray area on this floor. It’s too black and white! Thank you for taking time to read this.
Got admitted to outpatient here for four weeks and had an okay experience. Mostly spent my time coloring, but met some great people while there. However, three months after my discharge, I was sent a bill for 1500. Both me and my mother were told our out of pocket with her insurance would be 600 for the entire program. Multiple times. It was never referred to as an estimate, and we even paid it. When we called to ask about this, we were informed that the amount we had been told was incorrect, and that they were "sorry" (yeah right) but we would have to pay the full amount. The lady on the phone was dismissive and rude, and although we got the bill halved, it was still their mistake, and an unfair one at that. Do not bring your loved ones here.
I want to start off by saying unfortunately this is my sons 6th facility for treatment. I think it is important for me to stress because I have experience with many facilities in Memphis, Nashville and California. This was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this facility for treatment be it detox or otherwise. My son was admitted on Thursday, at that time he was accompanied by his interventionist. The interventionist gave all of my sons belongings to the facility and left his card stating to call him for anything and with updates. The facility had his wallet and phone the whole time and continued to tell my son they did not have any of his things his interventionist had them and that was a complete lie. My son expected to be transferred to Cumberland after detox. The facility knew on Friday that my son was not getting a bed at Cumberland and waited until Monday to tell him. The only way we were notified of this change was through our interventionist NOT the facility. The facility did not notify us of this information until 3:00 on Monday. My son has addiction issues and is there for detox the meds they administered him for sleep are Valium. My son had to tell them to please stop administering him these meds as they are interfering with his cravings. Never in treatment has my son ever been given valium or anything in the Benzo family while detoxing. The social worker has set hours that in treatment I have never heard of Monday-Friday till 3:30. In all other facilities at least you have a backup if someone is not there, NOT HERE no backup you are just shit out of luck and talk to you Monday. Yesterday I get a call from social worker that my son is going from Nashville to Florida for treatment. Never did they discuss with us nor did they call the interventionist, they dictatated treatment, they were just supposed to stabalize him not dictate future treatment. We were able to get him placed in Nashville thanks to our interventionist, Asher Levine, and only thanks to him. Rolling Hills stated he was being discharged at midnight regardless of whether he had placement. You did not have my son's best interest when trying to place in the next treatment facility, nor did you include his team in that conversation. I feel I need to explain how you did not have my son's best interest for treatment at heart. You wanted me to put him on a plane to Florida with no one facilitating him at the airport and also did not care if there was a connecting flight to the treatment facility. When I asked what happens if he shows up at the facility in Florida drunk, your social worker's response was he will just have to detox again. This response and the whole scenario was reckless in the scope of continuing treatment. ALSO, my family had and will continue to have a professional interventionist, Asher Levine. We pay for his unwavering knowledge and for him to be our son's advocate in treatment for exactly the Florida scenario. Your organization was aware of Asher from day one because he was there with my son at admittance and told your facility he is to be kept in the loop and left a card. Again, he is my sons and my family's advocate and you treated him like crap and denied him access to my son. My son signed a release for Asher. It is not your call ever to dictate who my son has and will have access to, this scenario absolutely infuriates me and I want all to know. My son would not be here today without Asher and that is a fact. My son is an adult BUT when you have a client that comes through your door with a team and signs releases whether you like it or not it is your duty in the best interest of all involved to work with the whole team. The anxiety you put me and my son in telling us he was going to Florida, period, was uncalled for and ridiculous. I have nothing further to say to anyone at your facility. I just hope all read and take caution from our experience.

Yesterday I get a call from social worker that my son is going from Nashville to Florida for treatment. Never did they discuss with us nor did they call the interventionist. I need to know this because my son has no money if they want him in Florida I have to buy the ticket, so they need to have me in discussion. They stated he is to fly from Nashville to Florida on a flight with a stop in another airport with no one sitting with him in the airport. When I asked well what if he shows up in Florida drunk their response was well he just detoxes again, this is not an answer and this is never the best answer for any patient detoxing, it is absolutely unacceptable and bad practice. My son was also late getting meds yesterday. We were able to get him placed in Nashville thanks to our interventionist and only thanks to him. Rolling Hills stated he was being discharged at midnight regardless of whether he had placement. This facility is the worst experience in 5 years I have ever had and there way of conducting business is not in the best interest of the client.
For the record, I have been a reputable intervention professional since 2010 in Tennessee, but have assisted clients across the U.S. I have been familiar with this facility for many years, but have never referred there. This past Thursday, I was faced with having to refer there for a client in crisis and needed stabilization. The admissions process was great and the staff was very professional. I literally, thanked all of them on my way out knowing my client was in good hands. Well, Friday came with the news that client was not going to be appropriate for next facility, and we would need to refer to another level of care. I had my back up in place and made contact with the staff there on Friday, Sat, Sunday, for the client to do a pre-screen with this other facility. They said they would give my client the message. Well, Monday afternoon, I get a text from the new facility, that the patient would have to go to their FLA location, because there were no beds in Nashville. They called the parents and made this decision without my input. I told the case manager that this was not going to be an appropriate referral and that the family and myself needed more time to make another referral. They then call this am, saying the patient had to be out today and that there was nothing they can do. The social worker argued with me, saying that no work had been done over the weekend with the pre-screening process for the other facility because that was his job and he only works Mon-Fri. This person was literally going to have another facility to pick my client up take them to the airport and fly alone and connect thru Atlanta, to go to another facility that was not clinically appropriate for the client. I attempted to put a stop to this process by calling the supervisor and making arrangements for a hotel for this client today until he could get to the next place. I received several text from the case manager that he had convinced my client to go to a different program without mine or the parents consent, and the family had medical power of atty. I secured a bed at a local facility for tomorrow and the social worker again said no hes going somewhere else and I called his supervisor again asking to speak to my client of 5 years and they refused to let him talk to me or call me back. The doctor involved called me to tell me the facility will no longer have any communication with me because I was rude to his staff. I told the doctor that, his staff was a disservice to my client and his family and me, he then stated, "that I was the problem and the facility would no longer have any contact with me and hung up. They also, told my client that I had his cell phone and his wallet even though it was left in a locker on admission, which they instructed me to do. I have never ever been contacted by a facility medical director that they were ceasing contact with me. Asher Levine, Intervention Professional
They refused to give my mother any information on my sister. They let my sister sign herself in despite being mentally ill. These people don’t care as long as they get a paycheck. My sister is currently in your facility and you are absolute liars. You refused to give any information to our mother. I pray that y’all get sued for this.
