I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Ruman! She made a procedure that I was so nervous about go quick and painless! All while keep me distracted with being involved in what was happening during the process! Cannot recommend enough!!!
Thank you Dr. Montville and the TFI team for your professionalism and great care!!! Highly recommended!
Friendly and made scheduling my first appointment easy.
Dr. Montville is incredible. We went on our IVF experience with him after having a bad experience with another local clinic. As soon as we met Dr. Montville we knew TFI was the clinic for us. We didn’t feel like a number but felt seen and treated as an individual not a statistic for their clinic. We had a successful first round of IVF in 2021, now we are back to transfer another embryo- same incredible patient care we experienced then. You won’t regret choosing the TFI team with your family building dreams.
Infertility is scary, confusing and emotional. I would not have wanted any other staff working with me. The communication and explanations of everything is so top notch, every question and concern was addressed efficiently. Everyone at TFI is wonderful. Dr. Montville and his medical staff helped us make a dream a reality in the most caring, reassuring an positive way. Thank you over and over again!
Front desk lady is not friendly, communication was awful throughout. After getting the results of our last cycle, not a single person contacted us to see how we wanted to proceed. Overall not a great experience.
Dr. Miller, our provider, has been great, but the scheduling and financial advising has been a nightmare! Multiple times I was cancelled on for my consultation appointment, causing the appointment to get pushed farther and farther back. Even though I was on a wait list to be called to get an earlier appointment if possible, I called one day and all of a sudden there was an appointment for weeks earlier. Is the wait list not checked? The financial advisors who are supposed to help us feel prepared did not inform us of the costs of our testing and we are now feeling overwhelmed and lots of regret. They informed me that all diagnostic blood tests would be covered, did not mention that the genetic carrier screening would be $400 for both my husband and I out of pocket ($800 total), but then charged my husband an extra $400 for the diagnostic testing when we are on the same insurance. Furthermore, when I showed up for my diagnostic testing, the new patient consultant scheduled my appointment incorrectly. I had to wait for over 2 hours to get tested because no one knew what tests I was supposed to get. So frustrating and disheartening considering the patients they serve are already dealing with fertility issues they never asked for! 😭 I so wish there were other options, but my OB acted like TFI was the best of the best. I am the first to not complain and be difficult, but this has been so frustrating. If they are the experts, I wish they would have made me feel more prepared in this situation financially.
It has taken me a while to put together this review, as I am not typically one to write something negative, but we had such a bad experience with TFI, that I felt called to spread the word so others wouldn’t go through what we did. We worked with TFI for several months in 2023/2024. There were countless missteps along the way, but these are the most critical. I was scheduled for an HSG before our second IUI. What should have been a 10 minute procedure took over an hour. Dr. Ruman was to read the scans and send me the results. When I went in for my follicle scan a few days later, they hadn’t been read yet. I was assured everything would be completed before my IUI. Of course, they weren’t, and when my results were finally reviewed, it turned out that side was blocked, so my second IUI was both expensive and basically useless. Right before our third IUI, TFI reached out to schedule an IVF consult. This seems like very poor practice- what was the point of doing that IUI if the clinic felt there wasn’t hope? Of course, that IUI failed, and we moved forward with IVF. I was put on an OCP for down regulation and immediately felt very sick. When I reported this to TFI, I was repeatedly brushed off. At my follicle scan, nurses noted that I was extremely unwell, but the clinic pushed to move forward with stims for egg retrieval. I began the shots, and got sicker. I called the emergency number over night, but was greeted with annoyance and accused of being “baseline anxious”. Dr. Ruman finally messaged us because she heard that I had “called in complaining”, but the decision was to move forward. Fortunately, I decided to trust my body, and sought external care- I had pericarditis and drug induced lupus from the medications TFI prescribed me. I reported this back to TFI. They never once called to check in on my recovery. The only communication was to set up a consult when I was ready to try IVF again, which is negligent at best. I’ve been left with a permanent autoimmune disorder, and have spent this past year in recovery. Let this be a warning for others planning to use TFI- while they might be great at producing embryos, they are dismissive, cold, and negligent towards the couples creating them.

Our first appointment was this past Monday and we left SO HAPPY AND HOPEFUL. We have been trying to conceive for two years with no success and we saw a different doctor last year who did no tests on me or my husband, and just prescribed medication that did nothing. But at this appointment we were both asked questions and got to ask our own questions and we were walked through the testing and what not. We felt so heard and truly believe we will be able to have our baby because of Tennessee fertility institute and Dr. Miller.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
