This facility examined my daughter who wanted birth control (diaphragm). The woman answering the phone didn’t know what a diaphragm was. She came home without a prescription and was told to get a Telehealth appointment from an online company in order to get a prescription. Excuse me…? So that’s the quality of female health care from a woman’s clinic. "
Reception needs training how to reply to greeting Will try not to be here anymore
No stairs. Two steel door elevators. Nobody around. Who you gonna call?
I loved my experience here, I had my first in 2019 and my second 2021. No complaints here. They never pushed me to do anything I didn’t want. We’re understanding when I didn’t want certain things.
I saw Amy Barker, NP for my yearly exam and she was great. Very kind and thorough. I didn’t feel rushed and was made to be comfortable which means a lot when going through such an exam. The nurse, I believe her name was Shanon, was also wonderful and very nice.
I was in need of seeing a Gynecologist after having a lot of bleeding which lead me to having 2 blood transfusions. First of all, it was difficult getting an appointment, despite the urgency. I finally got someone to listen to me and they told me there was a clinic on Fridays where the Attending would have a Resident. I took it, I was desperate. I showed up more than 30 min before my appointment. There was a screw up with my insurance and they told me they couldn't see me because I didnt have insurance. The lady at reception was very nice and was trying to help me, but her hands were tied. I asked to be put down as Self Pay and I would sort it out later. Apparently they couldn't do that. I have a long standing relationship with the Vanderbilt Health system. I have been a patient for 20 years. I have always had insurance and always paid my bills. That didn't count for anything. I left in tears (and the pain I was already in). I found a doctor in the Ascension system that saw me and the urgency. I am now having a bunch of procedures, covered by my insurance. Vanderbilt, you "Pretty Womaned" me, so I took myself and my insurance to cover my procedures somewhere else. I will not bring myself or my family back to you. I was a former employee, and the whole world now knows how you treat them. Nashville, there are plenty of other choices in town, don't be fooled that Vanderbilt is the "best."
Great clinic unless you want your meds quickly. They take way too long to approve a medication refill even when it's a maintenance medication. I had to call them because my meds that were already supposed to be at the pharmacy we're not, so they said it would not take more than 24 and certainly not more than 48 hours for my prescription to be ready. Here it is almost a week later and I still don't have my meds.
Was called by this team prior to my surgery saying that the procedure had been pre-approved, told me what my cost would be, and insisted I pay 25% up front. I paid 10% up front over the phone instead. Three months after my surgery, I received an EOB from my insurance company telling me my procedure had been denied and that my responsibility was $45,000. When I called my insurance they said that this place had lied to me and had never gotten pre-approval for a $50,000 surgery. They got in touch with the billing department, and were told it would take at least 30 days to review this. I've tried calling patient relations during their stated business hours only to get to their voicemail. Don't know if they'll ever call back. Based on other reviews, something horribly crooked is going on with the billing at this place. Stay far, far away.
Still haunted by my visit here and I don't know why I didn't leave this review sooner. My women's health appointment was extremely upsetting. My doctor (gentry I believe) laughed at me when I asked questions about my body and made me feel like a test subject while she trained the student she had with her. I will never go back here, thanks for the awful memories.
Dr. Nielsen is the absolute best! She always listens to my concerns and has made this pregnancy so stress-free. At one of my appointments, she couldn’t find the heartbeat on the doppler. She assured me it was normal for how early I was and immediately walked me over to the ultrasound room to make sure everything was okay and to calm my nerves. I literally drive over an hour just to come here and it’s only because of how great of a physician she is. Vanderbilt has always been good to me and this office is no exception! I would highly recommend this location!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
