List of Wilmot Burch's Reviews
My husband had a colonoscopy a few months ago and they found a polyp that was too big to remove during the procedure. Dr. Burch told my husband that there was no reason to remove it and just watch it. Well my husband went to another doctor for a second opinion and as soon as the doctor walked in, he said, that thing needs to come out. It's too big, 42mm amd it could cause a blockage. My husband also has a history of cancer as well. Not very happy with this doctor and glad we got a second opinion.
The most unorganized & least responsive doctor’s office I’ve ever been to. Didn’t seem like this in the past. Was overdue for my colposcopy (every 5 yrs) & at Appt set up by my PCP, they thought I was a “new patient.” They didn’t schedule the procedure before I left & after it finally was set, they rescheduled & said I needed to complete “paperwork” on portal. I needed to “set up my account online” & then they’d post tgr “paperwork.” When I tried to set up my account, it required a PIN number I’d have to call the office to get. Well, it’s been 2-3 weeks of trying to call the office! I’ve left 2 messages & no call back yet. They’re not open today, but I guess I’ll try to go there in person & try to resolve. Unbelievable!
Saw him 10 years ago for colonoscope. All good. Now his office is impossible to reach on phone, voice mail either full or they do not return calls. They do not respond to email either. I finally got through and scheduled pre procedure consult. Went to apt and was told I would be called for procedure scheduling. I was never called and I have tried numerous times for 3 weeks, phone and email. No luck. He actually sent in a claim and was paid for the consultation which is worthless if I cannot get the procedure. I have gone to another provider. Stay away unless you have is cell phone number or something.
Dr. Burch listens and treats your issues. I have asked my primary care doctor for help for a couple of years. Dr. Burch listened and helped me in less than a week. He is very caring and personable.
I had a bad experience with Dr. Burch and his staff. His physicians assistant had me go have a more costly test before having a simple ultrasound which would have shown I had gallstones. I called his office regarding complications after my gallbladder surgery and his extremely rude receptionist told me it was not their problem. I have since found a much better doctor.
I moved to Seattle a year and a half ago and needed to find a local doctor to do my colonoscopy. After discussing the procedure with the new potential doctors I realized Dr Burch knew ten times more than these other doctors. As a stage 4 colon cancer survivor I don’t mess around. I chose to fly back to Nashville just to have my colonoscopy done by him. The prep he prescribes is amazing. I have no stories of a torturous experience like everyone talks about. It is painless. Take it from a guy who almost died at 36 from colon cancer, get checked IMMEDIATELY and have doctor Burch do it.
I saw Dr. Burch for 10 months as he tried to diagnose mild-to-severe stomach pains I as having. After moving prescription to prescription with no results, I visited another doctor, who diagnosed and solved my issues with ONE VISIT.
I saw Dr. Burch for 10 months for persistant mild-to-severe stomach pain. He moved me from prescription to prescription with no relief. I also had a colonoscopy with a rude male staffer cracking jokes underneath his breath at my expense. Very rude. After no help, I visited another doctor who resolved and correctly prescribed the appropriate medicaiton with ONE VISIT.
Dr. Burch really is a great down to earth physician. I was nervous about gut health issues and he explained procedures and out comes in terms that I could understand and provided practical advice for optimum gut health. I would recommend him and his staff, they are professional and helpful!
So I am a Patient of Dr. Burch and his NP. I will say this office is very professional, and polite. I have had a lot of issues with swallowing foods, and other things as well. I had to have both an EGD and Colonoscopy. I did not have a single issue with either procedure, and the after care has been great as well. I will say that Dr. Burch is very direct, but he has been in this specialty for a long time. He keeps you from feeling like you do not understand what is going on. I have seen a few comments here that have really bothered me, because they are pretty rude. For example saying that they are rude just because they didn't give you another doctor's phone number? That isn't really their job. That is like calling 911 asking for the non emergency number. If he left their office then why would they keep up with him? I have never had any issues with the providers I have seen. They have been very kind and they are straight to the point. It makes you feel like you aren't getting a run around with things. I also saw that someone stated that he told them "he probably wouldn't look at their labs". That is a flat out lie for anyone. No doctor would ever tell a patient that, because that would be neglectful. I think it is important that people leave HONEST comments because there are a lot of people looking at these that are really in need for a good provider. When you give slandering comments like many of you have, you are potentially stopping someone from meeting a doctor that could really help them, all because you want to be a rude because you didn't hear what you wanted to.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
