This doctor saved my son’s life. He was at The university, and my son’s friends got colds and they still were around each other. Aweful coughing. It hit my son pretty quickly and he couldn’t go to doctor because he was fatigued and short of breath. I hoped in the car to a 6 hour destination, alarmed because his color was so bad. I Told him we had to leave that it would get worse at night. Urgent care sent him straight to city hospital where Dr. Kelly Newton was waiting for him. Straight to cardiac intensive care with plans to drop in chest tubes the next day. His lungs were filling up with fluids . She communicated with my son and me well and allowed me to stay in his room. She was his angel. And I truly thank her for that. He was diagnosed with pneumonia which set in after the flu.She’s smart and confident and I would highly recommend her. That was a scary week for me in a different city, without my familiar physicians but I could not have been more pleased.
