I had an unfortunate experience. The admissions person was wonderful but I guess it was his nurse or medical assistant that never introduced herself. He prescribed an nsaid thinking it was soft tissue damage but when we found it was a fracture he never told me to stop taking it even though its contraindicated in fractures. Did not tell me to not use crutches or be non weight bearing.I was in alot of pain and didn't know what I was doing wrong, when I called the nurse she just told me to do ice and never gave other suggestions or explored what I could have been doing to aggravate my leg. I felt very dismissed. I decided to see another ortho who is wonderful, took all the time to listen and gave a great plan of care. I now know I should be non weight bearing and he locked out my leg brace because I was in fact aggravating it by bending my knee all the time. I would not recommend Dr. Gutter to anyone. I am sure he's a great surgeon but as a patient I felt unheard.
