This review is in regards to Dr. Baker My first appointment with Dr. Baker was June 6th, 2025. She told me that before she could do anything that I would need a cone needle biopsy. I didn't know what that entailed and asked her to explain the procedure. Dr. Baker stated, "I don't know. I don't deal with that." I again asked another question and her response was exactly the same. I feel if a doctor really cared she would have looked up the information before entering a patient's room to reassure the patient of having confidence in a doctor's care. She also had her phone with her and I felt at least she could have looked something up while sitting there and gave me more information then an "I don't deal with that". This seems soulless. My GP asked me a few days later if I was getting the biopsy and I told her that due to the open gaping wound that it would be too painful. Eventually many days later she asked, "Is this the only option that she's giving you?" And I said, "that's exactly right"! She told me that there are other options and if I was willing to go see a surgeon at her recommendation to discuss it. Of course I said yes as I wanted the biopsy but a less painful option of one. By the time I got the biopsy over a month had passed. Meanwhile, Tennessee Oncology had called to schedule me with Dr. Baker but asked me if it was okay to reschedule if all the lab results were not in. I said yes that I would be okay with that. My second appointment was July 16th. And since this appointment was not rescheduled, I had assumed all the lab results came in. It was a total waste of time going to this appointment because the lab results have not all come in and all Dr. Baker told me was just that. This should have been a phone call and a reschedule instead of Medicare paying for this and me paying the rest. I am also mostly blind so my husband has to take off work to drive me a half hour to the office waiting yet again for Dr. Baker to see me. My husband lost a whole day of work because he couldn't tell them when he would be in so they told him not to come in at all that day. I also addressed the delay that I felt happen with my care because Dr. Baker didn't give me any other options in regard to the type of biopsy that was needed. She said that there must have been some “miscommunication”. There was no “miscommunication” because she would have asked me the same way my GP asked me which was: “...there are other options and would you be willing to go see a surgeon if I make a referral to discuss your options.” This was not said but rather only one type of biopsy was talked about and then when I asked questions about the procedure, Dr. Baker stated, “I don't know. I don't deal with that”. Additionally, at the second appointment Dr. Baker didn't even look at my open gaping wound. I am in much pain and no pain management was offered. I have gauze and towels to soak up the fluids from my open wound and nothing is being done. I feel that this is barbaric. July 21, 2025 I called Dr. Baker's office and spoke to Olivia. I said that I was willing to pay for an MRI without contrast due to radiation concerns. This is because I called Alex, a radiology technician and he stated that Dr. Baker ordered a PET/CT combo test. I was told it was just a PET scan. This doctor is deceptive. I have radiation sensitivity where I couldn't even complete a mammogram. An MRI without contrast could also be ordered as per American Cancer Association guidelines but she refuses. She also refuses to enlarge print for somebody being visually impaired. This doctor does not have a soul. Stay away and be warned, especially if you have a disability. UPDATE: TENNESSEE ONCOLOGIST JUST TERMINATED ME BECAUSE I REFUSE TO TAKE THE SCAN. THEY WILL JUST LEAVE YOU TO DIE. EVEN WITH THE NCCN GUIDELINES THIS TEST IS NOT NECESSARY FOR THE TYPE OF TREATMENT THAT I OPTED FOR.

Dr Zukbus at the Laverne Tristar hospital was great in helping me fight cancer quickly and professionally; after I had been going to many doctors and hospitals. I am thankful to have contacted Tennessee oncology smyrna at Tristar medical center. I would give them six stars if possible!!

Dr Ahmed had memorized my chart back to IL for the last 10yrs. I didn’t have to explain anything. Very intuitive and compassionate. I will not go anywhere else. I found my home!

Words cannot completely convey how much the nurses, staff and my doctor (Dr Kollipara) mean to me. I finished my last chemo today. I cried when I got to my car because I’m not going to see the nurses in the treatment room again. When you see them every week and they are kind and caring it leaves an impact on your life. They are true heroes. They made treatment days much easier. Even when I had to call in about side effects, they were so kind and did not make me feel like I was a bother.

Very professional and clean. Did not have to wait long to see the Spector. She was wonderful.

This place is full of Angels,they are truly, every day,saving lives.

There are not words big enough to describe how wonderful this practice is!! From the first visit until after treatment is completed they are absolutely, 100% there for you!! I have had lingering issues post treatment and Candyce Poteet has been there for me like nobody ever has before! I highly recommend this practice for you and your family!! Whether you are the patient or the family, they are absolutely WONDERFUL to work with !!

They didn’t go over any of the diagnosis, the side effects or anything to do with my cancer. Instead I was told about future religious outings- that’s it

This office is incredible! Every single person here is phenomenal, especially as I navigate one of the most difficult, challenging, and rough journeys of my life. I do want to share a single aspect that has caused me no small amount of displeasure, however. It's not a complaint - it's a matter of limited space - but it's still an unpleasant thing for people in extremely vulnerable situations; the treatment facility here is one giant room where everyone is lumped together. (There is a single individual room, but even this area is meant to be shared.) The closest thing to privacy that is available are privacy screens. As most folks know, people in the southern US like to talk and befriend others, but when I'm having needles shoved into me and am being medically poisoned, I don't want to have to struggle to socialize and have strangers' eyes on me. However, the exquisite staff more than make up for this displeasure and I am grateful to have my health in quality, respectful, friendly, responsible persons!!!

Dr Shipley is amazing.
