List of The Capstone At Station Camp's Reviews
There is a tech that works at this facility that is obnoxious. She curses in front of the residents. My mom is legally blind and has a special phone. This tech turned her phone off. She could not reach us and we could not reach her. The facility is decent but administrator does nothing to resolve issues. Definitely would not recommend.
Friendly polite helpful
Not what was discussed with me when we signed up. Really no supportive care for the mentally disabled. I feel that all that place does in the senior center is feed and make sure you stay alive until you die.. The place is not very clean. Laundry gets lost and you have to r Remind repeatedly to get anything done. The only good conduit is through the nurse however, frankly all she really does is push medicine and send people to the ER. Overall pretty disappointing the people are nice and the place is nice. The food is OK, like a prisoner in the memory care side.
My mother in-law is a resident in the memory unit, and we have had such great care for her. Nurse Marsha has been particularly helpful. On a recent hospital visit, the staff commented on the thoroughness and professionalism of the paperwork from Capstone. We are pleased that Capstone is recognized so well in our community!!
Capstone at SC memory care is NOT a safe place for your loved one with dementia. It has had 3 to 4 executive directors which led to an insecure atmosphere. Enduring the problems there for 19 months was challenging for my husband and me. Problems included inconsistent heat and air, quality of food, and rapid caregiver turnover. They were often shorthanded with agency caregivers and nurses brought in that struggled with their responsibilities including handling medication properly. As my husband's dementia worsened, he became sometimes combative. The director and nurses at Capstone failed to consult with the house doctor about this. He was on hospice but still sent to Trustpoint Psych Hospital without my knowledge. When he returned to Capstone, he was unresponsive, lost 10 lbs, had UTI, and bed sores. He died 9 days later. A memory care facility is defined as having all staff with education, ability, and concern to properly care for dementia patients and their unique problems including aggression. Unfortunately this is not true for Capstone. The MC director was unprofessional, rude and showed no compassion. There were a few outstanding caregivers there that truly cared & showed God's love to everyone. However, I would not advise Capstone to anyone.

My son and I visited my brother and ate lunch with him. He is happy there. We found everyone to be friendly.
Friendly people.
This was my first visit to the memory care area. The facility is beautifully decorated with scenic art throughout the hallways. The dining and gathering areas are also well kept, and the residents appeared to enjoy the food. (However, I noticed a roach (that we killed!) on the floor in one hallway near the bedrooms!) The staff appeared patient, courteous and able to maintain the safety of the residents. I had hoped to see some type of activity (or at least a calendar of events)that would give the residents (that are able), something to participate in, social activities with each other, and on-site events to look forward to, especially at this festive time of the year. Overall, the facility excels (in appearance and cleanliness) when compared to many other locations and thus far my friend appears satisfied with residing there. My hope is that for the exorbitant cost, my friend will receive the best in healthcare and maintain an optimal level of functioning for as long as medically possible.
The Capstone at Station Camp is top notch. The workers were all so nice & took great care of all the residents. The facility is clean, I didn’t see any safety concerns for the residents & I even felt safe getting to & from my car in the parking lot. All staff that I encountered were friendly & knowledgeable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
