Dr. Christopher Pokabla is a surgeon’s surgeon who has a passion that is seen through his work performing above and beyond the scope of others. I have been a patient for several years with different injuries. He would not perform surgery when other doctors were eager. When he did perform surgery the results could not have been better.

I would definitely recommend Dr Pokabla. He quickly figured out the issue with my shoulder and determined I needed replacement surgery. The staff guided me through the process leading up to my surgery and I was informed about what to expect. My surgery was 7 months ago. From the first day of PT I've been seeing slow, steady progress to get my strength & flexibility back. I feel like I'm about 85% back to "normal", and am very happy with my results.

I needed rotator cuff surgery and I was very fortunate to be directed to Dr Pokabla. Very personable and easy going. After surgery, I had several follow up visits and several weeks of therapy as well. Every time I came in for a follow up, Kailey, the receptionist, always greeted me by name well before I reached her sign in desk with a big smile. It was nice to be greeted in such a manner. Dr Pokabla was always giving me positive feedback and was genuinely involved in my recovery. While I hope I do not need another rotator cuff surgery, I would trust Dr Pokabla and his team to take great care of me. In preparation for the surgery, I spoke with family members and friends that had the surgery, and the most common comment was, "Pain." I am very sure that my limited pain was due to his vast experience in shoulder surgeries and the methods used by the staff, including giving me a sling designed specifically for rotator cuff patients with detailed instructions on recovery. Thx Dr Pokabla!

I have had excellent care from Dr. Pokabla Dr. Stuart and Dr. Neal. They are patient listen address any concerns and answer my questions. I have recommended Ortho South to others and will continue my care. The physical Therapy there is great as well. Thank you Ortho South

OrthoSouth provided the best orthopedic care to me. I was very happy with my outcome from my surgery, and I highly recommend Doctor Christopher Pokabla and his team of medical professionals. They did a wonderful job of providing me with patient care, and always were ready to answer all my questions regarding my health and recovery.

Dr. Pokabla has done surgeries to repair torn biceps on both of my arms along with torn rotator tendons in both shoulders. Both arms look perfectly normal which is amazing considering how badly they were torn. His PA and nurse assistant are both awesome and stay on top of things. He takes the time to listen and is genuinely concerned about his patients' well being. He is also very upfront and honest about the surgery, post-op, and recovery.
