Courtney Shires, Md's Online Review Report Card

Exceptional Surgeon I needed her for 2 occasions. In 2019 she performed a biopsy on a lump on my upper palate. She has such a friendly bed side manner. The lump was benign in 2019. In 2024, it unexpectedly grew very large and needed to be removed. It boggled my mind how she was going to remove such a large territory without my losing all of my gum. But she cleaned it out to the root and my palate is so clean. Again, she was very easy and friendly to talk to and get all questions answered. An skillful surgeon with a sweet demeaner.

Lack of concern or respect.

One of the kindest surgeons ever. Took the best care of my husband and was so caring and thorough. Could not have asked for a better experience despite dealing with a tough cancer diagnosis.

Well, I’m gonna say I’m unimpressed with Dr. Shires. She didn’t know my lab work that had already been sent, didn’t know my patient history that was in my files, and was in the room for less than 5 minutes. Absolutely not exaggerating the time she spent with us. She didn’t even sit down to examine or talk to me. My mom tried to ask questions and she walked out. She is running the same lab work that my PCP sent over. If she was familiar with my file she would have seen that. She did not do the biopsy that the UT medical clinic referred us here for. We have no more answers than we started with. She’s rude, dismissive, and uncaring.

Dr. Courtney is a gift to her patients, she goes the extra mile. I love her upbeat we can do it personality

I was referred to Dr. Shires for throat condition/surgery 1/2022 by another ENT. Had surgery in February 2022. She has the best bedside manner I've experienced in many years. I really appreciate her kindness and caring demeaner. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their physician.

I'm a throat cancer survivor and Dr Shires has been my been my primary Oncologist since 2017. I cannot put into words just how amazing she is. She along with her team saved my life and I'll be forever thankful. She is engaging with me and my family and always listens carefully to whatever we have to say. She thoroughly explains everything to me in a way I'm able to understand and answers all my questions. Her and her staff are very, friendly, and they make us feel welcome and cared for and treat us like family. I highly recommend her!!!

My visit there wasn’t long at all The nurse that took my temperature was so sweet and my doctor Courtney oh my god she was absolutely amazing I just love her, she make sure you understand everything that’s going on with you she’s just amazing I’ll love to see her anytime I come there, everyone there was so nice I felt right at home May God continue to bless everyone🙏🏾.

Staff is always positive and helpful, Dr. Shires is simply wonderful
