List of The Village At Germantown's Reviews
All I will say is thank God I removed her after a few days of rehabilitation therapy and got her to the ER. She went from HAPPY to dehydrated with a UTI and couldn't even make a complete sentence. If an employee didn't initiate a video chat, (no visitors via Covid), I would have never known how dire her situation was.
As the owner of a growing local business, I pay close attention to other companies in the community who are doing things right. Putting action behind their words, offering nothing less than the best in customer service and bettering the community. The Village at Germantown is one of these companies. My team and I are in and out of this community regularly, serving the amazing residents and staff. The level of professionalism and courtesy from the Village staff is second to none. You can tell they love their jobs. Friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating. The facility is one of the cleanest and most secure we have worked in. There is just a sense of warmth and happiness every time we walk through the doors. This is the type of place I would want my own family to live one day. Thank you to each and everyone of the amazing staff members for raising the bar and taking such phenomenal care of the senior members of our community!
This is the absolute worse place, they only have a doctor 1 day a week, on all days he is not there a nurse practitioner is there that can make no decision without doctor approval. So god forbid anything happen you will not be able to do anything for an entire week. If you cherish your loved ones DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!!!!! If you think im wrong/lying question why you are no longer allowed to review them on there facebook page.
My loved one is in the healthcare side of The Village. DO NOT put your loved one here!! He was there for a month and received ONE SHOWER! ONE!!! They never helped him with brushing his teeth. Meals are consistently late and/or skipped. If he complained, then the staff would get an attitude with him. He sat in his own feces for over 6 hours. His roommate was a "yeller", meaning the roommate yelled out all the time, probably from dementia. We were never told that his roommate was a yeller. That should have been disclosed before we moved him there. Therefore my loved one got NO REST AT ALL - and this is for over $8K a MONTH!!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! DO NOT COME TO THIS FACILITY!!!!! AT ALL
I could not recommend The Village enough. My family chose The Village for my father and we were so pleased with the patient & kind staff in memory care. They truly took their time to find unique ways to engage with my father and catered to his every need. They listened to any and all concerns and requests we had. Highly recommend for any loved ones!!
DO NOT WORK HERE! So my wife has worked here for 3 years. Had a positive experience in terms of patients and patients family except for management. Management only cares about the business not their employees. Management will cuss you out,and even threaten to terminate you on the spot if you dont do what they say. They have very little staff because of such a high turnover rate and have more agency employees than anything else. They terminated my wife during the February 2021 winter storm just because she couldn't make it in to work due to concern for her own safety of the snow.
Nice and clean
Such a disappointing experience with the lack of care for my grandfather for the short amount of time he was there. The lying about helping him bathe and no therapy when they had said that he had gone, leaving him in the bed for days on end causing bed sores. The staff doesn’t care about the residents and from what we have heard now, it has only been getting worse with the people hired. The phone rings and rings when you try to call and no one has any information on what has been done or taken care of when they do answer. This has undoubtedly become worse since you can’t even visit your loved one because of Covid. Please don’t send any of your loved ones here. They will not be taken care of.
This was a great place for dad to be as long as he was able to be in the independent side and socialize with friends. Once he had to be moved to assisted, we were not happy with the care he received. He had dementia and on two separate occasions, lab people came in at 2 am to draw blood from him. He was obviously aggressive with the nurse and they called me to complain about his behavior. What person wakes up someone with dementia in the middle of the night to take blood?? Nursing staff changed a lot and I feel like that was a big part of the problems we had. His apartment wasn’t kept clean unless I complained. They told his friend who would come to take him downstairs to eat that it was her responsibility to dress and clean him up if she wanted it done by a certain time (she was 92).Families spend a small fortune to have their loved one cared for by the best people possible, and I truly don’t feel like that happened. We ended up moving him to Baptist Hospice in Collierville after a hospital visit and that’s the best decision we made. One last note, be sure you understand the refund policy for the buy-in money. You will not get your 90% of the buy in money refunded until they sell another unit of the type you bought into. We were on a list behind 3 people to get our money and it took about 6 months.
The CNA's on the night shift have been aloud to run this facility. These CNA's are "Bullies", in every sense of the word, always meddling in nursing business trying to chase the nurse off if you dont let them "SLEEP".The black lady that runs Central Supply is hateful and has been for the 5yrs. I have known her and keeps up confusion with the CNA's.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
