List of Donald Spisak's Reviews
I absolutely LOVE Dr. S. He tells me the truth weather its hard to hear or not, he is caring and attentive and I trust his professional opinions and medical direction on my healthcare. ;-)
I trust him
For the past few years, Dr. Spisak and I have had only positive interactions, and I have really had no complaints until now. Right around New Years, Dr. Spisak's staff member cancelled my appointment due to my wife having covid, which caused me to quarantine. Apparently the staff member failed to update the good Dr.'s schedule and ACTUALLY cancel the appointment. Not 100% on the name, but Stephanie sounds like it could be the one. Doc considered me a no-call/no-show, and after multiple appeals to his staff and care manager, with offer to show some proof of the interaction I had with the staff member, he has "removed" me from his practice under false pretense by citing that I have had 3 no-call/no-shows in the past 12 months (which is no true) and thus I failed to meet the attendance policy. He refuses to budge on this, and his care manager who I was in contact with has now stopped contacting me. Immediately ceasing contact with someone under your care is unprofessional, and it's also unsafe to do so when you have them on medicine that greatly increases the risk of seizure especially when not tapered, with no refills or reduced dose, and that medication is just stopped. I have now run out of that prescription, which is fine, except for the fact that we did not taper and that put me at medical risk for no acceptable reason. Also, it just doesn't stand to reason at all why he would behave like this. Again, we've had only positive interactions until this. So, I would like to thank the Dr. for helping me over the past couple years. It has been beneficial. And I would like to tell him that his actions in the past 2 months have been unprofessional, unacceptable, and disappointing. I would have much preferred to just stayed a patient. Hell, I would have gladly come to my appointment that day instead of just sitting at my house on quarantine after the Dr.'s staff member told me not to come. But, here we are. I'm still trying to get an appt with a new doc. Thanks for the no-warning/no-cause removal.
He's been my PCP for a few years now and I've not been disappointed
Dr. Spisak is truly a knowledgeable & caring physician. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and he even remembers details of past visits. He’s surrounded by a good staff that are just as caring and patient. If you are reading reviews trying to find the right doctor for your care, you have found him! This group gives their all and it’s noticeable.
He listens, his bedside manor is great and his humor disarming.
Absolutely and I have done so already. He takes the time to listen to you and you never feel rushed. He is also very honest with you even if sometimes you may not want to hear it, he is always concerned about your health first, bottom line.
The best doctor in Tennessee. I recommend him to all the folks I know.
Dr. Spisak is a wonderful physician. I had my first appt with him, and he is so personable and intelligent. He gave great feedback, advice and explanations. I recommend him highly!
Saw him after Dr. Phay left. I had still been trying to get resolution to some health issues I was having. Spisak insisted I was depressed and anxious. We tried multiple meds that only made me gain weight. I was done with him the moment he looked at me and said and I quote, "Oh, so you mean to tell me you're just butterflies and rainbows every other day of the month" DONE! I found a new PCP which found I was severely deficient in Vit D and had a hormone imbalance. I wasted a year and a half working with Spisak trying to get to the root of my problems and he just wouldn't listen to me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
