List of Richard Pectol's Reviews
My son was admitted to the Emergency Room in Greenville. My son was seen by Dr. Pectol. His x rays reveled a broken femur. My son is medical challenged and resides in a group home in Greenville. He was sent back to the group home only to prop his leg with loose pillows. He was given a few days of pain medicine. I have requested three time from different resources for Dr. Pectol to give me a phone call. I was told Dr. Pectol doses not call his patients back! Also no one from his office calls patient's back. I am the mother of my son and have conservator ship. I feel this is disgraceful that Dr. Pector can not find a few minutes for return a call! I did not choose this doctor for my son, but I would NEVER consider Dr. Pectol as an orthopedic doctor for me or my children.
Horrible experience. Shattered my wrist and he put a plate in, All the screws were Too Long. I was in worse pain after seeing him. Had them removed by another surgeon.
I am a 65-year-old woman who went to Dr. Pectol with pain and a concern for hardware slippage in my partial hip replacement. X-rays and a bone scan were done, with no abnormalities. He raised his voice at me and said, "It's your age!" a couple of times. He recommended a cane because I was a "fall risk." I got a second opinion of bursitis, was prescribed Meloxicam, and am doing much better. My 76-year-old sister-in-law informed me that Dr. Pectol told her she should be in a "nursing home," even though she is ambulatory and able to care for herself. Conclusion: If you are an older woman, do not bother to go to this man.
Didn't feel like he really listened or cared about my problem. Some good staff, but not welcomed like I used to be at this office
Absolutely wonderful doctor he's a great surgeon I would take anybody to him we absolutely love him call you back
Nice people! Great service! Good dr.s! great with kids!
Great surgeon.
Great surgeon.. great person
I went to Pectol when I shattered my wrist. I first met him the day of surgery. Very rude. Never sat down to discuss what he was going to do. The whole time all I could think was, here it is Friday afternoon and I am here with a shattered wrist, not a good time to find another surgeon. I went ahead and had the surgery. After the surgery I was in more pain than before the surgery. I told him this and he told me I would be better. After 2 years of pain and not being able to use my hand I went to Kingsport and saw Dr Marchassault and he found that all the screws were too long and they were through the bone. He removed the plate and screws and the healing began. Do yourself a favor and go to a good doctor. Before I finish I want to tell you about Pectol sending me to their rehab. Sorry I do not remember the girls name but she is the boss. She would give me a task and as I was doing it she would go off and talk to her friends and co workers and than come back and give me something else to do and walk away again and continue her conversations. She could care less about you. She is just waiting for you to time out. I felt like I was just a bother. Do yourself a favor and go to another rehab place too.
I think he is the best for knee and hip replacements in East Tn. He is wonderful

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
