I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I was referred to this Dr by the ER doctor whom wanted me to be followed up within a week or at least within 2 weeks of the visit to ER. Called to set up appointment. Received message to leave message and someone would return call. Left message. Gave them a day to get back with me. Since no one ever returned my call I called again. When I finally got someone on the phone let them know I had left a message. Was told very rudely they could not make out message to return call. Would have loved to have believed this but I have worked in medical field and I know that they can see the number you call from. I mean come on if I had a stroke that affects my speech I am just out of luck. Lady was truly nasty and rude; even arguing about who sent me to them. I let her know the ER doctor did. She still continued to be rude. It was awful! It wasn’t my idea to call them. I was told to call them. Long story short spoke with my primary doctor ( who is not affiliated with this hospital) not going to be seeing them. Called the hospital administration whom referred this Dr. and let them know they probably need to stop sending patients to this doctor. It was made very clear they were upset the ER doctor referred me. Administration apologized and stated that there was no excuse for the way I was treated and they would follow up on the issue.
Very personable and thorough in explaining diagnosis/ condition. Efficient and answered all questions with clarity.
Very frustrated with our situation. Staff and receptionist extremely friendly and helpful. Have been here 3 times for a previous surgery he performed and took a fourth time to hopefully get it right. Last appointment we waited an hour past our scheduled appointment only for him to come back from lunch 50 minutes past our appointment time. Dr needs to realize patients have lives and things to do themselves. Not happy with situation. Bet if Dr has someone doing things for him by an appointment that he doesn't like to wait like we have had to do. I work nights and days like I have being 22 hours long and a wife that has kidney dialysis 3 days a week that is my life 3 days a week and some days longer. That's why I'm disappointed in his services on days like this.
Quick and thorough! I really liked Dr Richter’s nurse. She was very kind also. Make sure you have all information they need faxed to them if done by another Dr. like ultra sounds etc.
Surgery visit Awesome staff Dr. Richter was very informative about pros and cons. Have decided to use as surgeon. His nurse Lynn was extremely helpful and the best sense of humor made me very relaxed. Will update after surgery.
Did not do what he said No preop antibiotics though I was high risk - wound up septic in 3 days after surgery. No pain meds given post surgery. No preop labs done. Port put into pectoral muscle and has slipped to armpit area causing pain level of 10. Seeing a different surgeon to try to fix this mess. One month post implant can’t use arm shoulder or hand. Can’t wear bra. Restricted to bed. Morphine not helping at all. If you don’t do what he wants I am afraid you will be stuck with terrible complications. Please think twice.
This was my my first visit to Dr. Richter. He took the time to ask questions about my condition and listen to my concerns.
Doctor Richter and his office staff were very professional, informative and friendly. My husband’s surgery went extremely well. We could not have had a better surgeon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
