Dr. Newsom is quite experienced and an expert. He explained and answered questions when I got an eye exam. I learned a lot about optical correction and the workings of the eye. Knowing what medical professionals are doing sets me at ease. Also, the office itself is well kept and nice looking.

Earlier this year I visited and was examined by Dr Newsom for new prescription eye glasses. I had seen him twice before with above average results, but this time he was distinctly different in his attitude toward me. He spent a total of about 10 minutes with me (I'm in a wheelchair). He charged my Medicare insurance plan and received $137 for my brief visit with him. Also, his prescription for me wasn't as accurate as one I received from an Optometrist at Visionworks three months later as I needed a new pair of glasses. Finally, Wal-Mart usually charges $50 for an eye exam, so I might have to take this up with Medicare Fraud!

My son had a serious eye injury, and Dr. Newsome some him everyday for five days to monitor his improvement, even when he was closed- on Sunday! That is how dedicated he is to his patients. Our family is forever indebted to he and his staff! They are the best people!
