Dr.Smith saved my life. His consideration for his patients is amazing. He performed an emergency laparoscopic appendectomy on me, a heavily tattooed woman, and gave such consideration to where he put his incisions. Pre-surgery we spoke about our dogs, and he kept me updated on how long it would be and how many surgeries were ahead of me. Thank you Dr. Smith. You’re an amazing man, an amazing surgeon and I’m so grateful you were there. Thanks to you, I got to turn 32. I’m sorry people on here didn’t get to know you like I did. In my short stay, you showed you are not only a great, caring surgeon but a kind man. I cannot thank you enough.

Nice man, BUT...Removed my gall bladder. Pre-op message was that tests showed it looked "very unhealthy." It was so concerning that they took me directly to surgery from the testing area. At post-op appointment he asked if I, the patient, thought I actually needed my gall bladder removed. He said he didn't think I actually needed it out either! I was still very sick during post-op appointment (constant vomiting for 30 days, in hospital most of that time, not allowed to take food or water by mouth, lost 30lbs during those 30 days.) He re-admitted me to the hospital at my first post-op appointment. Now, doctors are telling me I have a condition made worse by no longer having my gall bladder, which should be controlling how much bile my body releases during digestion. Rushed and unnecessary surgery. Very frustrating.

Worst bedside manner ever. He does not communicate well and he’s very judgmental. Had the worst experience ever with this surgeon. My family and I will never use him as it was such a poor experience. That other review was right, complications? He abandons you. You will not hear back. And his staff has attitude. Avoid!

Great surgeon but he is not personable and doesn’t care beyond surgery. If you have complications do not bother to go back to him. I was in agonizing pain after surgery and so I went back to him and he ordered labs and finally a ct to find out the cause and then just never called back to give us results even though he said he would, it took over an additional week to get his office to hand over the results and so we had to have my primary doctor put a rush on it and find me another doctor.

I own my life to Dr. Smith some 24 years ago I was in a terrible accident that almost made me lose my left leg which he completely repaired and save my life in the same accident I lost nearly 40% of my blood, I wasn't expected to live throughout the night and they thought that I would never be able to walk without crutches or a cane but I get around just fine I own my life to Dr. Smith!!!
