Love Dr. Babb and staff!!!
Dr. Babb has thus far been very nice and takes time to discuss even the craziest concerns I have mentioned. The office staff is great and Dr. Babb's nurse is super sweet and down to earth. I am really happy that I chose Dr. Babb and have zero regrets. They are wonderful!!
She was the only female doctor in my town on my insurance. She was nice the first few visits while I was dealing with some irregularity issues with my period, and she seemed to know what she was doing, but when I brought up the possibility of permanent sterilization, she became less helpful. My husband and I plan on adopting children, due to genetic issues I dont want to pass on. I felt she was dismissive of these reasons and was dismayed that she would not sterilize me, but pushed me into having an IUD instead so that I could start a family later. She did at least provide that, but I was frustrated by the lack of respect shown to me, a 35yearold married for 15 years. Patients deserve to be believed. For the record, we have adopted 2 beautiful daughters. I said I wanted to be sterilized. I never said I didnt want a family.
We have had nothing but frustration and questions while using Dr. Babb and her staff during my wife's pregnancy. She is not a talkative, approachable doctor and does a terrible job at communicating with her patients. They are all about the money and not at all about the patients. Here are a few of the issues my wife and I have had to deal with the past few months:The ultrasound technicians were unable to get the required pictures (CSP line for the brain) on the first visit so we were rescheduled to come back. No big deal that happens. The same thing happened again with the follow up visit. Either the technicians don't know what to look for in the images or the equipment is outdated, either way there is no excuse. Instead of asking my wife to come in to explain or explain the situation better over the phone, Dr. Babb called my wife and told her there may be something seriously wrong with the baby and we needed to go to a specialist. She didn't ask if we had questions or explain what all this could mean (At least GOOGLE could explain, but that made it worse). Initially there were no appointments available to see the specialist for 2 weeks. After calling and explaining how upsetting the news was and that we wanted to see the specialist sooner, they got us in 3 days later. When we went to the specialist he got the required pictures right away and said he does not see any issues. He looked at us like we were crazy for coming in. We were relieved but upset at the fact of the situation. After that appointment my wife requested her medical record (Which costs $25) to switch to Vanderbilt. The nurses at the front started whispering and were rude about that whole situation also. We are still working through the billing nightmare they created. We have been billed for every little detail of every visit. Billed twice ($112.12) for one ultrasound because another doctor supposedly "looked" at it. Then billed for the follow up appointment because the technicians failed at their job the first time. On top of those bills we received a pretty large bill from the specialist, the one that asked why we were sent there to begin with. With the way insurance is now a days and the huge deductibles patients (aka The Customers) have to pay, we should not have to scrutinize and appeal every bill for mistakes and overcharges.I understand things sometimes go wrong. We are thankful the pregnancy is healthy but Dr. Babb and her "crew" have made this a painful last few months that no pregnant woman and family should have to deal with.
I have panic attacks, which I warned her about the first time I saw her, saying that this area of care was a trigger for me. Later, she chucked me out of her office because of it, although I was not aggressive, only frustrated and afraid, and had told her in advance that I do have an anxiety disorder. She claimed I had told her no such thing, although I had a witness with me when I did, and again at the appointment she evicted me from. She refused to refer me to another practitioner, refused to follow up with me regarding questions I had after a procedure, and was in general pretty terrible after that point. She had been decent until then and this came as a terrible surprise.
Tamie Babb delivered all 4 of my babies! And with my first one she really saved his life I truly know in my heart if it would have been another Doctor the my son would not be here. She got him got so fast it was amazing bc just a few more seconds and he wouldn't have made it... Oh and this was before she moved from Cushing Oklahoma. I just wish she knew how much she really did for me!!
Dr. Babb is a GREAT OBGYN!!! She is always willing to listen and answer any questions or concerns that I have.
Love Dr. Babb! She and her staff are great!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
