Cathy Deppen's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Deppen never really seemed to take the time to get to know me nor efficiently address my concerns. Every visit seemed rushed and she had a tendency to blow off my concerns and provide vague, short responses.

She was really caring and very informative about every issue I had during my pregnancy. She takes the time to answer all your questions and make you feel comfortable.She helped make my first pregnancy a wonderful experience and a beautiful memory. Thank you Dr.Deppen!!. I Would recommend her.

TERRIBLE experience. I was told that I likely had an STD because the clamp shouldn't hurt. As a female who has likely had to have pap smears done before, Dr. Deppen should know that it's normal for the clamp to hurt. Especially if you are a smaller person with a smaller vagina. When I explained that the only person I had ever slept with had been tested for STD's and was clean, her response was a GUY that has to be tested for STD's? (implying that he was promiscuous) 100% inappropriate.

(implying that he was promiscuous and unfaithful). I explained that he had recently joined the military and was required to be tested. She didn't even apologize for her insinuations. Her nurse treated me as if I was a common whore. Judgement written all over her face and actions because I was unmarried at the time of my appointment. A few months later, she ignored my mother's complaints of extreme cramping and very heavy bleeding. She told my mother it was "just age" and refused to investigate further. My mother went in for a physical with her primary care physician a few weeks later and it was discovered that she had a tumor in her uterus the size of a cantaloupe. As a result, she had to have a hysterectomy. All because Dr. Deppen was too lazy to listen to her concerns and chalked it up to "just age." I wouldn't advise Dr. Deppen to my worst enemy. Terrible bedside manner, lazy and demonstrates poor knowledge of the female reproductive system. Simply terrible.

F- !!!!! I was not pleased with my very 1st OB visit with Dr Deppen so decided to go elsewhere (Dr Hamilton at Summit is A+) Dr Deppen personally called me at my place of employment and chewed me out for leaving her!!!! She already had me "budgeted" and was counting on my business!!! She was upset about losing out on $, not losing a patient due to her lack of kindness. I do not need to be coddled, but I expect a professional manner when experiencing a monumental experience like childbirth! That being said, her assistant Joany, was a doll. I def made the right choice to find a new (and wonderful doc) at Summit to share in our joyous moment!!! Hopefully, this helps at least one person avoid the mistake of using her services! You've been warned!

Dr. Deppen made me feel so great. She was the best OB-GYN anyone could have. She knows what she is talking about and cares about you. She delivered my baby and she put me at ease. I will recommend her to anyone. She's the best. Take my advice!

Always rushed. She would blow off my questions and concerns. I do not think she ever read my information in my file.

Dr Deppen is a caring and knowledgeable physician.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Deppen.She helped me a great deal through my first pregnancy and made it an amazing experience for us throughout.I never felt rushed with her and she would always stay and take my concerns away.I have always left the office with a smiling face.Although i coudnt say the same about all her staffs.Most of them are very kind and friendly but a few are not so much.I recommend her as a very good and extremely knowledgeable OB/GYN.
