Chilango Mulaisho's Online Review Report Card

I am a type 1 diabetic, and was very young when I had my first and only visit with him (18 or 19 years old). During the rushed visit, he told me that he needed to see my breast and pubic area to see the amount of hair growth, claiming it was a way to determine if my thyroid was overacting. Trusting him as a doctor, I showed him my my breasts, before realizing that there was no one else in the room and that no other endocrinologist had ever requested to see those areas. It still haunts me to this day that I did not report his predatory actions. I never went back to see him.

Inadequate care , not courteous , had to wait an hour after my appointment time to actually see him

So disappointed even though I have not see the Doctor. I had problem with my thyroid back in 2013. I went to the local walk in clinic as I didn't have a family doctor at that time. The doctor that I saw in the clinic recommended me to look for a family doctor as my case was a chronic thyroid problem and at the walk in clinic would be hard for me to keep the records as I would see different doctor each time. He mentioned to me about Dr Mulaisho and told me to ask the family doctor to send the referral. I found an amazing family Doctor, Doctor Okafor, and she recommended me to a different doctor. That year got pregnant and levels were better and no need to see a specialist. Until this year.... levels all over the place feeling really sick and my family doctor decided to change specialist as the other one would take me too long to have an appt. Today would be my first appt with Dr Mulaisho until I called and Angela the secretary inform me a have $100 no show bill to pay in order to see the doctor. Excuse me??? So apparently the walk in clinic sent the referral and no one called me. You think they would understand the miss communication and wave the charge but no she was fighting back and forward with me. Even though I told her I have no records of any call. She insisted that they call every single patient. Really??? No one called me for today's appt. After fighting back and forward she told me that was the walk in clinic responsibility and I should call them. Fair enough a lovely lady from walmart walk in clinic named Linda told me referred was send but no records of appt was made. You think they would release the charge after that miss communication? Absolutely not. Very sad to see this because $ 100 bill I can not see a doctor to take care of my sickness. Ps: Staff I would give a big zero in customer service....

My first reaction on being recommended to Dr. Mulaisho was to check the ratings. They were not good, so I chose another doctor. He had stopped treating new type II patients and I needed a doctor so I took a chance. I was well impressed. His office could improve its reception process a bit, but once you'vemade the initial contact they're great. The tech who took my blood was an angel with a magic touch. Dr. Mulaisho is patient, knowledgeable and spent more time with me on both appointments than my PCP has in the time I've known him. I am very pleased and would recommend him to anyone except folks who expect a hug when they approach the sliding glass window to check in.

Not a problem getting an appointment or a follow up . cause they know the more they get you in there the more co-pays they get. Maximum wait time since I've been seeing him at office @ 10 til 12 appt 12 didn't see him til 10 til 4 was in car at red light by 4:25.
