List of John S Major's Reviews
Professional staff, dedicated physicians, efficient office staff. In-house lab, X-ray & pharmacy.
Been a patient of Dr. Major for almost 20 years. Professional, efficient & caring physician & nursing staff. Knowledgeable & helpful office staff (scheduling, insurance, etc)
I had the pleasure to go through High School with Dr. Major. Started using him as my PCP and I couldn’t be happier. Staff is always attentive and caring. He listens to my needs. I highly recommend him.
I graduated High School with Dr. Major. I recently began using him as my PCP. I couldn't be happier. He and his staff are very attentive and helpful. He listens to me and takes care of my needs. I highly recommend him.
My boys and I have been going to Dr Majors for years.I have recommended him to its of friends who have all came back to me very thankful to now have a caring doctor for them and their family. He is very knowledgeable, always available, very caring, and goes out of his way all the time. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a doctor that has and is it all..the best !
Great guy and great doctor. Tells good jokes too. I’ve been going to him for many years and he’s always been great
the office staff are rude when you are checking in. the nursing staff doesn't seem to care. the dotor just wants to talk about himself. go in for a scheduled appointment and you're lucky if you are seen within 30 minutes. what a joke
Did not provide preventative medicine and said we'd worry about it when it happens. Condition that could have been avoided if he did not dismiss my concerns occurred. When I went back to start to cure this he said "What do you want me to do about it?" and said he doesn't know anything about what to do for it. He said the stool sample came back negative and left it at that. I now have symptoms throughout my whole body which is a sign that the issue has migrated to more serious complications and no longer in intestine. This info is found everywhere and also on the CDC website but the doctor seemed to not know this simple fact or express any concern at all. Complete lack of taking patient concern and intuition seriously. Could be gender bias? Price gouging on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry making the correct med impossible? Dr should tell patient during visit reason for prescribing incorrect med or discontinued med. Early standard treatment was crucial to prevention.
Dr. Major is very professional and has a wonderful staff especially Stephanie Dillard very kind and helpful.
Wants me to take a $1900 drug (3 month supply for diabetes). My insurance company does not even cover it. My A1C is a 5.4. I recommended another drug and he said my results would not be as good with the new drug. I look at my medical records after the visit and he indicated he counseled me for depression and that was concerned about undiagnosed kidney issues because I asked questions about my results. Dr. Major was in hurry to "go watch the TN Vols play basketball on his office computer" (his words).

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
