List of Charles Susong's Reviews
Love Autumn, very kind and easy to be around in an uncomfortable situation.
Very impressed with the time that Dr. Susong spent with me. He was very professional and kind. He answered all of my questions and made sure I didn’t have additional questions.
Have been a regular patient of Dr. Susong for about 25 years and have always been given top care. He is professional and has always been caring in his examinations. As with most highly sought after doctors, scheduling appointments to see him personally can be difficult and wait times in the office can get overly long if he gets tired up treating a patient, but he is worth the wait.
I have been extremely fortunate in having been a patient of Dr. Rodney Susong for more than 30 years. Over these years I have seen his exceptional wide-based knowledge and unsurpassed medical skills consistently. He gives his full attention to each patient. He doesn’t rush, and effectively communicates with all his patients. Dr. Susong is the most trusted, talented dermatologist in the area!
I had 3 different skin problems, which turned out that one needed a biopsy and the others needed freezing. It took 3 different appointments to clear everything up. When I called to schedule, my calls were handled promptly and efficiently. I had to call again to reschedule one of them, and again, no problems at all. For the biopsy, I received a call from this office letting me know the biopsy was negative, well before my scheduled followup appointment, but within the time frame they gave me for the call. I found the staff to be courteous and efficient, and at each appointment my wait time was entirely reasonable. Reading all these negative reviews makes me wonder if I'm one of the lucky ones, but my experience exceeded my expectations, each visit.
I called for three days straight just trying to get an appointment. No one every picks up their phone, even when you have a direct line to someone for scheduling. I finally decided if I can't get anyone to on the phone (Susan) to schedule an appointment then I don't want to deal with this practice. What if I had an emergency or a real issue? I hope Dr. Susong reads this and realizes that his front staff is turning people off. And I was referred to him. I am now telling everyone at my corporation not to even bother with this practice.
I have been going to Susong for years and now when going in for a visit, there is a since of cold vibes throughout the office. Dr Susong needs to rethink some of the female Dr ‘s he has brought in over the years for they are not very friendly to the patients and have talk to many of Susong patients voicing their concerns on mean spirited attitudes when going for dr visits. The office has lost its shine compared to years before. I have now found a different Dr and do not recommend any patients to him.
I was very disappointed in the care I received. Dr Susong appeared rushed and was impatient with my questions. Getting biopsy results was like pulling teeth and calls for refills go unanswered. I was very dissatisfied with the overall experience.
Perhaps cosmetic (and out of pocket) procedures receive better attention, but I can't recommend Dr Susong for skin cancer or atypical moles. He is brusque, impatient with questions, and I had complications with two different procedures. Despite calls to the office, I had to make an appointment to get biopsy results. I get the impression that they are too busy to be responsive or to deliver any kind of individual attention.
I've been waiting for 2 days to reschedule an appointment. I've called, left messages, and sent emails. NO LUCK. I've decided to go to someone that will respond.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
