Dr. Long is a FABULOUS DOCTOR! You can TRUST him to care for you or a loved one with EXCELLENCE! He explains things in a way that helps me understand, allows me to ask questions, and has a WONDERFUL bedside manner! I highly recommend Augusta Oncology; Short wait times, customer-friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere! A+++

Dr. Long won’t admit/correct issues that must be addressed in his practice. Patient charting by staff was incomplete and inaccurate, a potential HIPAA violation. Delaying the injection by a month could have resulted in a significant negative outcome. Escalation of the situation could have been avoided if a notation was in the chart indicating the note from the referring physician was incorrect, and the injection was due in March. Nurses should have had access to full details in the chart, as do the schedulers, showing exchanges between my previous physician’s office and theirs, clarifying the date for the injection was March. Ineffective, untherapeutic communication was used by the first nurse, who didn’t listen to what I was telling her, was authoritarian, dismissive, treating me like a child, and making no attempt to resolve the issue nor trying to find someone who might be able to clarify the situation, especially after I told her the name of the NP who was aware of the situation.

he is the best, most caring dr I have ever gone to ..but his old parner a women an older wild hairwoman was horrible, that i think is why the hosital got rid of her, but Dr Lng is great, I would recommend him to anyone

Very willing to spend extra time explaining anything you ask of him. He is very knowledgeable, clear, and does a good job saying why he is taking a particular treatment path as opposed to other options. Awesome at following up (has called the house many times to see how things are working out with medicine and treatment. Also calls personally with test results, etc. and explains results over phone). Would highly recommend as a family doctor.
