I’ve never had to wait so long at a doctor office like I do here. Trying to call the office to make an appointment takes so long as well. When you arrive people are standing In line to sign in with one employee working the registration. I also was not impressed with Dr. Adams. I decided this was not the right choice for my primary care doctor. I could not make myself go back it’s very frustrating and I’m not going back.

I struggled with long Covid for about seven months until I saw Dr. Adams. I felt weak, dizzy, nauseous, and anxious to the point where I could barely function. My symptoms were very complex. Dr. Adams listened to what I had to say and took me seriously. Within one visit he had me on the road to recovery, and now I'm back in grad school where I'll be graduating in the spring. Dr. Adams knows his stuff, and he's just an all around great guy. I give him my highest recommendation!

I believe the doctors I’ve seen are good doctors but the system they operate in needs some major improvement ! After being seen by my internal medicine doctor I was referred to a gastroenterologist. That never would have happened with my former doctor in another state. It took way to long to see the specialist and way to long to get a colonoscopy to see what was wrong. Others have told me that Galen is big on making referrals while the primary doctor limits their interaction with the patient. All the time my situation worsened. I was miserable! This did not need to happen ! Tests could have been ordered by my primary doctor. A friend commented to me that treatment here is like Canadian medicine. I think I agree.

My mother has been a patient of this clinic for 20 years and recently had trouble to getting her medication due to the office needing a pre authorization. She reached out to her nurse multiple times to give this and they were unable to receive it for some reason. She then had her insurance reach out to the clinic the referral without success still. She reached out to the office manager who gave no alternative options to help her and continued to place blame on the insurance company. After six weeks of still not having her medication she asked for a different medication just to be able to hold her over. This medication did not work. My mother then attempted to contact the office manager again for help on getting some sort of medication that would help her and continues to be ignored by the office manager. It is very disappointing to see that this office has chosen to neglect their patients as well as disregard their health concerns and needs.

I would give 5 stars if not for the rudeness of Bobbi Jo in the lab. She made me feel like I was wasting her time and was just all-around unpleasant to deal with. Other than her, everyone in the practice is helpful and super friendly.

Just want to start off with; I am not someone to give bad reviews or complain because some people might just be having a bad day, but I have been going here for years, and it has been an constant cycle but lately it has became worse.The lady in the front desk made my entire experience anxious and was not very nice. She made me feel like I wasn’t welcome there. I thought maybe she wouldn’t be there every-time I went, but was unfortunately. So, I dreaded going because I didn’t want to encounter this every-time.My nurse practitioner, would constantly leave the room, talking to other patients during my appointment, coming back and forth while leaving the door open and not keeping it private. Maybe if you’re busy, this happening once would be okay, but it happened several times… She was extremely forgetful like she doesn’t retain anything I told her. For example; she did a pap smear and didn’t record it nor send it off to the labs.My doctor would roll her eyes anytime I brought something up that seemed like an inconvenience or something that she didn’t want to talk about. I didn’t feel like anything I had concerns about really mattered and she just wanted to give me medication without helping me figure out an underlying cause. Like I stated above, this happening once or twice would be understandable , but this has been an on going cycle.

Can't change doctors within the practice without having a joint "meeting" with the direct and the doctor I no longer wish to be with. I never asked to be with her. My doctor left and she was thrust upon me, and now I can't switch. Will be switching practices.

I have been a patient at Galen Medical Group for the past 20 years. I started with one doctor who left the group so I had cancelled and rescheduled appointments, and I was fine with that! During this transition period, I was scheduled with at least three different doctors and PAs. I was fine with that because I understand things happen. Finally, Dr. Jarl became my PCP. I was fine with that. He’s personable, knowledgeable and thorough. For some reason, the office called earlier this year to say my appointment would need to be rescheduled. I was fine with that! Things happen! Today due to problems at work, I was late arriving for my 2:15 appointment, instead I arrived at 2:30. The receptionist was rude, said she would have to check because I was 15 minutes late. She went to speak with someone and told me my appointment would have to be rescheduled.I will not reschedule, nor will I return to this office. I was as patient as I could be during their transition, and today they would not see me because I was fifteen minutes late. Life happens and sometimes we need to be a little understanding. I did not find that in this office today I will NOT. be back and I will NOT recommend them to anyone else!!Debra Smart
