List of Galen North Pediatrics's Reviews
We have been taking our kids here for a year. I am tired of waiting 15-30 minutes outside in my car, just to wait inside for 20 to sometimes 60 minutes in a room the size of a shoebox. It’s sad because we actually love the doctors, but the wait times are astronomical. We just don’t have the time in our day to spend 1.5-3 hours at the doctors office. Sorry. I have never in my life wasted so much time waiting around for a doctor.
Last time we visited for a wellness check-up the doctor did not listen to our health concerns, but rather lectured us on what she thought were the best ways to raise our child, without even knowing my child or asking any questions. Can't ever get a sick appointment, despite having numerous doctors on staff, and just we are always just greeted with an aura of unwelcomeness and bother with every call and visit. I believe they have too many patients and they don't much care about any of them.
Great staff
I was given a call thirty minutes before my appointment and told it was being cancelled because they labeled it as the incorrect Appt type “and wouldn’t have time”. I had already waited a month, and they told me the next available wasn’t until June. Very bad medical practice. I get your that busy so you don’t care if you lose patients, but maybe at least try to give a little better resolution after someone waited a month already.
Dr. insisted on parent being out of room & wanted to do physical exam. Thankfully, teen patient refused. Nurse gave patient flu shot without asking while giving 2 other vaccines.
Let me start by saying I am a retired nurse of 15+ years, so this isn't just a grandmother griping. This is the first time I have ever witnessed an almost brutal approach to obtaining a strep culture. Nurse Jesse may need to revisit the techniques and tricks regarding the procedure. Saying to a 5 yr old don't cough in my face and jabbing about is not the way. Pant like a puppy was a trick that often worked for me. My grandson is tough as heck and he cried. A rare occurrence. Other than that, the visit was great. I am going to inform the physician tomorrow in hopes of some action being taken. It is a tough job and not a good fit for just anyone.
Dr. Wiley is great! Both of my children have seen him since birth. He’s kind, patient, and caring. He takes the time to answer any questions. I definitely recommend him if you need a pediatrician.
Dr. Truelove is phenomenal. One of the most compassionate doctors I've ever met. She went above and beyond answering all my questions and teaching me about my child's condition. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend
Nope. I had my appt at 9a. Wasn’t seen until 1010a. I am a nurse and worked in a clinic, so I understand falling behind sometimes. But a full hour is unacceptable. My daughter became very upset when she realized she was getting the flu shot. Instead of the nurse being calm and trying to soothe her in any way, in front of her, said they would have another nurse come in and restrain her. Saying someone would hold her legs, someone hold her arms, and give her a shot. She may be 6 but she still has patient rights. And you can not physically restrain someone for care. Period. We saw Dr Truelove. Not happy with her care either. Instead of explaining to my daughter where she was looking when she had to look at her body, she pulled her underwear down to examine her. My daughter is 6 and so far the only people who had seen her naked are myself and her father. And she was already uncomfortable having to be in her underwear and gown. I would NOT recommend their services to anyone.
We absolutely love Dr. Wiley and all his nurses! They are so helpful and sweet. However, I hate their answering service. They are always so unfriendly and make you feel stupid. Other than that we always had a great experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
