Not only is this man a great surgeon he is real. He doesn't judge he heals. I have known him for years and when my own doctor didn't fix me he made sure to today.. I am a middle class real person that doesnt lie. He is a man that would work for free to help others. Thankful for his existence.

Dr. Mena doesn’t follow local county requirements to wear a mask. He tried to get me to remove mine bc he doesn’t seem to believe in Covid. He acted he was a good listener, but he kept interrupting me. Oh, and no debit cards are accepted. Come on, it’s 2020, and I just want to pay with my health benefits card.

Dr. Mena does not follow Hamilton County regulations to wear a mask and social distance. He suggested he doesn’t believe in Covid. He tried to get me to take off my mask, but I’m going to follow CDC guidelines and local health mandates. Furthermore, Dr. Mena blames my American female diet for my condition. I’m not sure what this means, but when I clarified with him that I’m vegetarian and eat exclusively whole grains and not much processed food at all, he backtracked and blamed my water habits (I drink 60+ ounces per day, but I didn’t feel like correcting him at that point). It seemed like he just wanted to blame me for my condition instead of helping me with it.

My primary care physician, Dr. Sherwood, once diagnosed with gallbladder issues, to Dr. Michael Mena, in spring 2018. On my initial visit, Rochelle was very pleasant and Dr. Mena was very detailed inquiring on my health issues and the upcoming surgery. There was no urgency in the procedure, at age 60+, my first issue with heartburn or my gallbladder. On Friday, August 30th, at 3:30, my body suggested I call an ambulance ASAP. 5 days later, on September 4th, Dr. Mena successfully removed my gange green gallbladder and 60 stones. I recently celebrated my 65th birthday. I will always be grateful to Dr. Mena's bedside manor that calmed family and friends....and allowed me to keep trying!

Dr Mena is a very skillful surgeon as well as compassionate doctor. He diagnosed my problem missed by many Drs and treated me quickly and efficiently. His experience is evident and I highly recommend him.
