Don't let the bad reviews some cranky people have posted to stop you from seeing this amazing doctor. Highly recommended by my great pediatrician I took the chance that he knew better than some crazy mean hearted reviews by people I don't know. So in that sense, trust me Dr Berlund has been doing this for years. He's excellent! Put my mind at ease and joked around with my 6yo son. He didn't rush through our appointment and he has a great sense of humor.

Dr Berglund is a condescending, angry old man with a superiority complex. As far from a professional as you could imagine. He must have beginning onset of dementia, because I've given him my new contact number, but he insists on calling an old number, so he can claim he reached out and proceed to essentially steal money for a "no show" appointment. I missed a call due to an emergency and wanted to talk to him, like a man, but instead, he takes 195 dollars and texts me confrontational messages. Look, at the end of the day, this person is supposed to provide a service to people that are struggling, not create more stress because he is unwilling to bend or even discuss situations. Do yourself a favor and just look at the 2.5 stars he has, there is a reason for that. Look at the other testimonials, they mirror what I'm saying. Dr. Berglund, since you read all of these, and attempt to belittle the person with your response, I'll leave you with this.....you're a sad old man, And I hope karma catches up with you!

He was the most arrogant, rude, and narcissitic man I ever met. I only met him once and he made me very uncomfortable before we even got into the session. I was also with my mom, since I was 19 at the time. My mom said something that she never told me to the doctor about my body rejecting my transplant when I was 8. So I was kinda surprised. He saw my reaction and immediately shouted, "There! There's anxiety!" Like, anyone would have a surprised/shocked reaction to that if they never knew. Not long afterwards I was talking to a friend about Berglund and she said that he has been her family psychiatrist for years! He put her on a medication that made her gain weight. She complained that it made her gain weight and he told her that it wasn't his fault she was eating more and got fat as well as she should work harder to lose weight anyways. She fell into a deep depression but she's fine now.Also, to those who are reading this review, please look at the way he responds to the reviews that contain 3 or less stars. He is very rude, defensive, and it's extremely unprofessional. Not only is it indecorous, but he even mentions certain details about his clients that would be borderline breaching the patient-psychiatrist confidentiality and HIPPA.

Dr. Berglund has been helping me since before the pandemic started, but my treatment has been consistent and very flexible. I'm a very anxious person and I really needed to get it under control. Dr. Berglund has a very direct approach. He is very efficient. He is very experienced. So many reviews is incredible! Some people aren't a fan of such a straight forward method, but I personally prefer just that. He has been kind, available, and responsible. His treatment has helped improve my quality of life immensely. Good mental health is something I will always be thankful for, so thank you Dr. Berglund

Read Dr. Berglund's response to the 1star review below. It fits him perfectly. He's absolutely right - he tells it like it is, doesn't sugarcoat the situation in any way. We are one of those long term patient families who stay with him for just that reason. My 14 yo son appreciates that he talks to him like an adult. He's logical and reasonable and doesn't let you make excuses. Some folks may find that intimidating, we find it refreshing. My son sees a behavioral therapist for the warm and fuzzies, comes to Dr. Berglund for sound recommendations on his medication plan and long term strategic plans for managing his ADHD and anxiety. Always responds quickly to any calls, excellent handling of appointments and scripts/billing, even during covid. Perhaps his direct nature is really not for everyone but he's a five star for us.

I've been seeing Dr Berglund for my treatment since my treatment began about a year ago. He's been extremely helpful in this time. His direct and blunt style works, plain and simple. For example, recently I was worried that my medication was flaring up a stomach issue when he quickly cut me off and told me that it's likely a gastrointestinal issue flaring up from stress and anxiety, as such my mom and I (I'm 16) scheduled an appointment with my physician to further figure out the issue.Tl;dr: He's direct and helpful, and the experience has been very positive.

Dr. Berglund is the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. He told me I was dramatic and that I was wasting the doctors time when I went to the hospital after trying to kill myself. Not to mention he's racist, asking me if the doctor I had seen in the hospital was "from america" and when I said no, he told me "those people don't know their ass from there elbows when it comes to medicine". He made me cry on multiple occasions, and he never ever helped me in any way, shape, or form. Please save your money, time, and mental health and go see someone else. *update after his response*Don't worry, now I'm seeing a psychiatrist that will actually listen to my issues and I am more stable than ever. It's incredible that you can see so many people telling you the same thing and yet somehow it's still everyone's fault but your own.

I had my intial meeting with Dr. Berglund today and I must say that I was SO glad I went! I had read all the Yelp reviews and was pretty much prepared for anything, but I'm sorry to disappoint you angry Yelpers... Dr. Berglund was very personable, answered all my questions, and spoke to me in depth about my treatment plan. I have General Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder and have been having a lot of trouble getting sleep due to my anxiety. I have reached out to 3 other psychiatrists and none of them were as thorough or seemed to care as much as Dr. Berglund.His intake process was straight and to the point, which I loved! I really appreciate someone who does not sugar coat things and he was not rude by any means. He was real. I loved that he called me out on my anxious tendencies and helped squash my doubts.I am so grateful I found Dr. Berglund and I truly feel like I'm finally in good hands.
