List of Jared B. Probst's Reviews
Absolutely unprofessional in terms of communication and patient care. I changed my clinic after meeting him 3 times to give some benefit of doubt. My checkups lasted less then 5 minutes. On phone, he would not allow you to talk and ask questions in a comfortable manner. Looking at the comments, I m wondering if it's particularly related to a race of patients or it's just bad rude behavior. Not going back to Olympus Clinic ever again.
Here is my synopsis. Dr. Probst has been pretty good and actually spent some time making sure my medications were right. Here is my problem. I had my blood pressure pills prescription expire and when my pharmacy called to renew the medication was denied. Keep in mind to get an appointment at this office is very difficult. I called 5 or 6 times to remedy this and the phone system simply states they are experiencing high volume and hung up on me. I have switched insurance so having me come in and meet to get my blood pressure pills does no good. I have left a voicemail for the nurse and no response. I am currently without blood pressure pills and the new doctor I have after speaking to my new provider can't get me in for almost 2 months. This is clearly problematic since I am dealing with the "silent killer". At least return my phone call....Feels pretty calloused to just deny a medication that is potentially saving my life. Having a primary care doctor I should never have to "borrow" blood pressure pills from a family member because my doctor won't get back to me, epic fail.
From my experience, the other one-star reviews are an accurate representation of Dr. Probst. He is arrogant, rude, doesn't listen, and just tells you what he thinks you want to hear in order to get you out of the office as fast as possible. He is purposefully unavailable to talk to outside of an appointment for no other reason than to bill your insurance. When you try to contact him through the online portal you get a response from his nurse that is incoherent and uses the excuse to get you into the office of, "Dr. Probst believes it's better medicine to meet in person." When I went back into the office for this "better medicine" Probst took less than two minutes to tell me he was switching my prescription; why couldn't that have been done over the phone? Well, you can't bill insurance for a phone conversation. When I messaged Probst with my frustrations I got no response. Do yourselves a favor and skip Probst and find a different Dr. since you'll most likely be doing that anyway.
Tried to get simple, non narcotic refills and it would have been easier to get a meeting with the President. Have been without insulin and anti depressants for a week and a half. Called in to wrong pharmacy and days to respond on patient portal. Will certainly be trying to find a dependable team. My previous doctor had moved on and I just happened on to Dr. Probst. I haven’t had a problem with him, just his team.
Love Jared Probst MD. He's been awesome for me and my husband. I'm always excited to see him.
Interrupted me every sentence. I have had a chronic condition for over 7 years and at least deserve enough respect to be listened to. Taking "metamucil " is not the answer; probably know more about the subject than he does. He also forgot to reauthorize one of my prescriptions before leaving so I had to call his office again the next day.
I did not have a good experience with Dr. Probst. He was rude and acted like he didn't care about me or why I was there. He hardly asked me any questions and didn't want to hear my explanation of my reason for being there. Felt rushed out the door. He never called me back with my results. I had to call them numerous times to get them. Won't go back.
Worse experience ever with a doctor. Spent 90 seconds with me before trying to walk out with little to no exam. Write a prescription with no explanation and tried to leave without giving me any info. He’s very arrogant and acts as if he has no time.
Had pericarditis last October. The U of Utah department of cardiology determined the seasonal flu shot was implicated as a cause. I was obviously concerned about a reoccurrence and consulted Dr. Probst. His research showed only 7 similar cases and of those, one had a repeat, so his advice was to skip the shot. I appreciated his follow through on this issue.
Literally didn't listen and just shoved medications at me without explaining what they were or side effects. Had to ask the pharmacist what each one was and what the regiment was. Just kept trying to get out of the appointment as fast as he could. Honestly it was the worst experience at a doctors visit I've ever had. I will be switching my Dr.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
