List of Richard Murphy's Reviews
I woke up after an ablasion surgery. Dr Murphy has gone home, nurse tells me the surgery did not go well, and handed me a post-it note that said to visit the Doctor two days later. Two days later I visited the Dr Murphy, who told me "I punctured your uterus, you urgently need a hysterectomy, I don't do them, call one of these Drs". Was handed another post it note with a list of Dr's names.
I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Murphy and Lydia. I've only marked down for punctuality, but who can say in their experience that any Dr of any sort has been on time? I always feel welcomed when I come to the clinic and enjoy the chit chat with Lydia while I wait. She has a friendly and kind nature which makes me feel at ease as I wait and has been so efficient with contacting Dr murphy on my behalf with a question or regarding a script. I've had medical complications during my pregnancy so far and Dr murphy has been very reassuring and confident the whole way through, I can sense a genuine happiness from him too with how I'm progressing which is lovely to feel. I've had a number of medical professionals back Dr Murphy's work and reputation which makes me feel very confident in him indeed. He is very respectful of my choices and haven't ever found him to be pushy like other medical professionals. Im very grateful for their ongoing care and sincere human nature and look forward to my ongoing appointments and healthy birthing in June/July.
Appointment was rushed and I felt he didn't look into any of my notes/records prior to the appointment. He was misreading my results as well. Would not recommend. You don't pay $300 for someone who is not prepared before you walk into the door.
Amazing experience with Dr. Murphy and Lydia at reception. I felt welcomed and had a lovely chat with Lydia while I waited she has a kind and calming personality which made me feel comfortable as I was quite nervous coming in. Dr Murphy was professional, knowledgeable and absolutely wonderful. I can’t thank them enough for the care and kindness they showed me.
Issue: 60yo man, back and neck injuries from a terrible vehicle accidentAt first no appt. avail. but when we explained it was due to an accident they said they could take K as a "triage" patient with Dr. Murphy. 2pm appt. finally called back at 3:30pm. The PA Rodney was curt, rude and rushed. Gave K a script for steroids said we needed to make an appt for an MRI-that was all he could do. He started to leave the room, and I asked him a question about the MRI, and he said "I have other patients, you are holding me up." WOW. Well, we expected to get an MRI appt before we left. Nope. Someone would call. Waited in pain for days for that call. Finally called to inquire why, they said it takes up to a week for the office to process paperwork and approved by ins. before they can make an appt! K called insurance co. himself and facilitated an approval. We left with the office, disability papers that K needed filled out for work. They said it would cost $20 and would take a week. Finally had the MRI & went for the follow up appt. when PA Rodney tells us that K has arthritis in his neck and it looks worse than his back. Okay, but that was never an issue before, and the problem is the pain from the accident not arthritis. We were confused at his vague explanations of what was on the MRI, so in a huff, he said to us "it would just be easier to show you" and he gets up and walks out. Is he coming back? Are we supposed to follow? After a few minutes we get up to see if we were supposed to follow. PA Rodney returned and he pulls up the MRI films on a monitor. He quickly scrolls through images pointing out things without much explanation, then takes us back into the room and starts talking about the arthritis. K asked about the pain in his back! PA Rodney says he could give him shots of a numbing agent/steroids' in his back, which K was none too excited about. At which point PA Rodney tells him it's that or surgery. Me: "There's nothing else that can be done?" He said "Nope, you want the shots or not?" K says yes, PA Rodney is out the door again, without a word. Finally PA Rodney returns to do the shot and starts gingerly poking K's back asking where it hurt...I thought K was gonna fall over in pain with all the poking! The disrespectfulness was horrific. An hour after we're home and Ks pain is worse than the day of the accident. He called the dr. office to see if this was 'normal' pain.... not ONE SINGLE LIVE PERSON TO SPEAK TO. K literally tried every.single.extention that was on the recording and could not find a live person to talk to. It was 4:15pm Fri, the recording said if a patient calls after 4pm, the call will be returned the following business day! In pain & frustrated K left a vm that he needed to be called back immediately or he'd be pissed. Mon afternoon pain finally subsided back to what it was JUST BEFORE PA Rodney administered shots-no better. Did we get a call Monday? Nope. Tues K called to ask about the disability paperwork, no one Knew what he was talking about. It's been 2 wks that they've had it now. Someone will call. No call. Wed call again, someone would call. No call. Thurs office manager, said she was headed to lunch but she would definitely call back. By 4pm with no call, and no way to talk to a real person, we drove to the office. K was told that PA Rodney thought that WE were rude, and so he had Dr. Murphy (who we've never seen) kick K out of the practice AND they shredded his disability paperwork! I would give this practice ZERO stars if it were an option. I would never recommend this practice to I cared about. EVER
Doctor Richard Murphy is very nice doctor.always give answer with smile.
Professional , friendly, approachable and helpful service.
super helpful receptionist even when booking the appointment, Dr Murphy was very friendly made me feel at ease especially when i am use to seeing a female . would 100% recommend.
EXTREMELY helpful and prompt in responding to phone/email questions. Would highly recommend. Appointments don't always occur at scheduled time, but I'm pretty sure he is as on time as he can be for a doctor running in and out of deliveries!
I went to dr murphy a few times for a gynaecologist issue. Every visit he asked the same questions and never seemed to know what we talked about last time. Isn’t he meant to take notes? He was very friendly though.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
