He diagnosed and treated my dad with prostate cancer when he was in his early 50s. He lived over 20 years after Dr Burleson did his prostatectomy, and he never had any recurrence of prostate cancer. He followed up with Dr Burleson the whole time. Great physician.

Started off optimistic when I initially saw Dr. Burleson, but that optimism has gone away. I've been on antibiotics for nearly 6 months now despite me telling him at every follow up that they are causing a lot of issues with my digestive system without a lot of sustainable improvement. The final straw was him nearly writing me a prescription for a medication I've told his nursing staff I'm allergic to at every visit when they check my vitals. I was told by my pharmacist that the replacement medication was nearly identical. Within two days I developed another allergic reaction.

I had an elevated PSA blood test and he ignored it. He said that I had prostatitis. He gave me antibiotics. I eventually found out that it was cancer when I went to another doctor who actually did a biopsy to find out. I may not be cured because of this delay.

He gave me antibiotics to take all the time. He said to take them even if I didn't have an infection to prevent future infections. I developed c. diff. infections and was hospitalized. I can't believe that I trusted him. He gave me antibiotics without an infection.

Dr. Burleson has waded with me through the years not only for health/medical reasons, but equally, certain non-physio matters, such is the nature of the ever-evolving "C" word. A giver indeed, when the door would have been better for him on my way out it from early on believe me...thank ya'll all. rbf

I have been seeing Dr. Burleson for about 15 years. He is the only Dr. that I have complete confidence in. He performed surgery on me about 2 years ago. It is nothing short of amazing what he did for me. I have just heard that he will not be at Jackson Urology any longer. I just hope that he continues to practice somewhere. I will follow him wherever he goes. He is the best!
