I found, Dr. Garrison Smith, to be friendly and direct. He first explained my diagnosis, exactly what he planned, a hiatal hernia wrap. He informed me what might need to be done should there be complications he could not foresee before surgery. He stated his concerns and asked if I had questions or concerns myself. He provided a brochure, he drew exactly what his procedure would look like. I found that very informative. The surgery went extremely well. Dr. Smith has a great bedside manner and very hands on. He listened and did not try to placate any of my concerns. I really have had no discomfort or pain from my hernia repair. I am still amazed how pain free this surgery has been. I did experience complications with gas settling, in my chest, from anesthesia. It was addressed and Dr. Smith made sure it was taken seriously. I would definitely refer Dr. Smith to anyone who needed a doctor in his field. My daughter’s doctor told her, should he need the same surgery Dr. Smith would be his choice.

This was a wasted appointment. I was referred for a severe problem that has been ongoing and my doctor scheduled this appt. with Dr. Smith to have a thorough examination and to schedule a much needed surgery. I did not receive an examination, he gave me a cream to use (by the way my doctor suspects an abcess in my rectal area which can be dangerous if not treated), and told me to come back in 2 months. He also told me that he would not come to work if he had to deal with doing this everyday!!!

Arrogant and rude.Rather grab his prescription pad assuming your looking for pain meds than to do his job and do a simple exam.

Dr. Smith did emergency surgery on a Saturday and saved my life! He did a second, unrelated surgery on me a couple of years later. I would go to him again, send family to him, and recommend him to anyone. He is extremely conscientious and really CARES about his patients!

At first I was leery that he is just a new surgeon but it was immediately put to rest when he showed that he has the total package to be in his profession.He is very professional and explained in details about my case and answered all my questions to my satisfaction.Takes time to listen which shows that he really cares about his patients.Happy and satisfied with his services.Highly recommended!!!!

I had to have gallbladder surgery and Dr. Smith was wonderful. He takes time with his patients and knows what he is talking about. The only thing that happened with my surgery was that there were complications with the patient before me so he had to wait on me a little, but that just means that he was taking his time with another patient making sure he/she was ok. Thanks so much, Dr. Smith!
