This is Dr. Carraher. This patient has not seen me in 7 years. He actually saw Dr. Lawrence last year.
Absolutely horrible. I came in with burning during urination. They took a urine specimen and prescribed me sulfur tablets. They scheduled a follow up a couple weeks later where he asked if my symptoms had persisted or stopped. After I told him the sharp sensation had not subsided, he in exact words told me that he saw no medical reasoning for this and that my "condition was not physical, but psychological." He basically insulted me and told me he could not longer help me. I would suggest you never see this doctor. He has no compassion or manners. Skip this "doctor" and look for someone better qualified.👎👎👎
Dr. Carraher was very knowledgable and treated my condition. I am very pleased.
After being told I could have kidney failure due to my enlarged bladder, caused by an enlarged prostate I scheduled a TURP requiring an overnight hospital stay. I woke from surgery to find the tip of my penis severely bruised and painful. Urination was extremely painful. Shortly after returning home, I began to experience a fever. Calling the Dr. office I received a round of antibiotics. After finishing the round I still had a fever and another round was called in. A few days later my fever worsened and a call to the Dr. office was instructed to go to emergency room. Tests verified I had a UTI AND sepsis and was admitted to the hospital. I was placed on the Covid ward because I also had a cough. Three more nights in the hospital the bacteria causing the sepsis was identified as a respiratory bacteria and given a targeted antibiotic. The UTI continued for another 3 or 4 rounds of antibiotics and another office visit and might be coming back. THREE MONTHS of sickness!
Very poor bedside manner!! Is rude and has forgotten his purpose as a physician. I would not recommend him to anyone.
I waited today in his office for 48 minutes to the point where I did not have time to discuss the things I came in to discuss with him. When I explained that and began to discuss the things I was there to see him about, he interrupted me and said I had never had that problem with him as my doctor, I told him it was in my chart. In fact it was in the files, I had sent to him the day before from an Urgent Care facility. I may not have been the most pleasant of people he would see in a day but he immediately told me that “it sounded to me that I had a problem with him and I needed to find another urologist”. I guess if that’s how much he cared about me, he was right.
Got me to Vanderbilt ASAP when I was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma... A Very Knowledgeable, Concerned and Efficient Dr...
Diagnosed me with 2 huge golf ball sized kidney stones. Found no stones during surgery. Wanted to start cutting my prostrate. Luckily my wife stopped him, I was under anesthetic, speaking to him afterwards, he had no clue! Very disappointed! Will get my records and go elsewhere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
