Shant Garabedian's Online Review Report Card

I am a Veteran and normally seek health care an medical attention at the VA Hospital. Historically, this has been at Martinez VA and Palo Alto VA, both in California. Both excellent facilities. However, we recently relocated to NW Tennessee and my current health care and emergency(ish) needs are taken care of by the Dyersburg VA Clinic and Memphis VA Hospital respectively. Both treat me well, though not quite to the standards I have been accustomed to back in California. But I'm not complaining Then, having suffered a dog bite injury that had become painfully infected, I was introduced to this Hospital by way of an emergency room visit where I was treated by the support staff, nurses and Dr. G. From the moment I stepped through the ER lobby door, till the moment I stepped back through that door after treatment, I was treated with the highest level of Attention, Compassion, Respect and Medical Professionalism. I wish to extend my gratitude to all that assisted me that day. I wish to further extend a much larger shout of kudos specifically to Dr. G., who went above and beyond to insure my healing needs were met, as if I were his only and most important patient to ever see him. In closing, in a world where people only comment to complain, it seemed imperative that anyone that reads this review know just how good this Hospital patient care system is and how much it is appreciated that the staff took such great care of me during my emergency room visit.

We saw Dr. G on two separate occasions. On the first, my toddler had been in an accident and lost the tip of her finger. Doctor Garabedian was diligent and hopeful that the finger could be restored, and worked tirelessly on the minor surgical repair. Her finger healed beautifully and all function was restored! The second meeting, I was nearly full term in my pregnancy and had been ill with pleurisy for nearly 6 weeks. Unimaginable pain that never ceased. Every doctor had told me that due to the pregnancy, there was no appropriate treatment other than to wait it out and treat after baby was born. I caved and went to the ER at 38 weeks and Doctor Garabedian counseled me on the options and supported my choice. I was able to sleep for the first time in weeks. Baby arrived just four days later, healthy and lovely...and Dr. G made a surprise visit to our room to say hello. He’d seen my name on the intake list. Outstanding bedside manner and old fashioned attentiveness seldom seen in emergency physicians.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Garabedian Shan’t over 16 years ago. In my opinion he’s the best doctor I have ever met and my family and I had the pleasure of meeting him years ago and he actually performed a surgery on my daughter that I think no other doctor could have performed better . We love you Dr. Garabedian Shan’t and if we ever need you we realize where to find you and you are the best. From Kenyatta Johnson there is no other like you..

Doesn't take his time with patients. If you have poor or no insurance he doesn't care about your health!!!!!

In my lifetime, I would never EVR EVER recommend this physician to care for my mother, me or anyone in my family or friends EVER! He is not kind or tender and has zero bedside manner. I was unfortunate enough to be a patient in his care at Henry County medical center in Paris Tennessee. He was harsh inpatient and not gentle. He grabbed my left arm without permission dug his thumb in my wounded arm expected me to set up after being in a head-on car collision. “What can’t you get up?” Reported!

Very commited to helping his patient along with excellent definition of his knowledge to,the average specimens

He was very thorough, asked me a lot of questions, was open minded to alternative therapies and had really great bedside manner.
